Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology : My Experience

Overall Rating
I am doing B.Tech in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. My JEE Mains rank was 77k and on this rank I was getting MME at MANIT. It is also near to my city. Others should also prefer this institute because here you are sitting in competition with the country's brightest minds. This will allow you to enhance your knowledge.
 

Academics Rating
In MANIT, overall academics are average. But as you are sitting among the brightest students, you will learn more by yourself by participating in different types of clubs and societies. This allows you to enhance your overall personality. Since, I am from MME department. The faculty is very good. We have our dedicated building comprising all kinds of labs like material testing and analysis and many more. For getting this you have to get a rank of around 60k to 80k in CSAB counseling. But in JOSAA counseling you have to score around 45 K rank.
 

Faculty Rating
The professors of MANIT are well qualified. They follow the modern style of teaching explaining concepts and topics with the help of presentation. In our MME department, there are around 10 faculty members. Almost all the faculty members have done Ph.D in Materials Science. Their way of teaching is very fabulous means you will enjoy their teaching.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have our placement cell in MANIT. In my department, Placement percentage was very good last year. Around 88% of the students were placed. We have an E-cell meaning Entrepreneur Cell which helps students by providing useful information about Placements. Highest package till now is around 30 lakh per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
MANIT has residential facilities. It provides 2 seater rooms with mess facilities. Hostel life is the best at MANIT. We are enjoying a lot here. If I talk about the charges they take then it is around Rs. 21,000 for 1 semester. But you have to pay a charge of Rs. 27500 for MESS fees for 1 year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of MANIT is average. It was established in 1960. If I talk about core branches, they have their own dedicated buildings. They are newly constructed but in case of ECE department, they don't have their own dedicated building. In academic blocks, we have the best facilities like labs having different types of instruments for doing different testing and practical.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at MANIT is very good. Here, the campus is full of greenery. Here we enjoy many fests and activities organised by our institute. Fests that are organised here are Maffick, Tooryanaad and many more. We have our fresher’s party. There are around 3500 to 4000 students in the institute. There are different clubs like Technical, Sports, Cultural, etc. present in the institute for the overall personality development of the students.

  • Starting a new journey at MANIT

    I got admission in MANIT, Bhopal through CSAB special round (2024). I was happy because I am from Kanpur, UP and Bhopal is near compared to other cities so, it is easy to travel. I visited the campus with my family for the admission process and we were pleasantly surprised by the large and lush green campus, made on a plateau.
