Gujarat Arts and Science College B.Sc Review By Harsh

GASC (Gujarat Arts and Science Collage) is the biggest and Government Granted collage of Gujarat University. It has a Vast campus with dedicated buildings for each subject including sports and Cultural Activities. Admission is Quite Simple and also Easily available. There are more than 500 Students Every Year for just B.Sc admission. A lot of Cultural Activities, Sports and Art activity are conducted and being a Government granted collage it is also Economical.

I studied B.Sc Physics. Every year there are Entrance forms and Admission is merit based on 12 Standard Results. It has a Large number of Seats so Mostly every Student gets the Admissions. I remember I had low marks but Still got a Seat. The Course has lot of Opportunities for the future and innumerable job opportunities but only catch is the student need to be Studying good and build a unique level for himself/ herself. The Course is Easy it you attend classes daily. And It is Very useful for Competitive exams Like JAM, JEST and TIFR. Surely with enough efforts you will achieve Success with the help of Course and Collage.

We had 7 to 8 Faculties for just Physics course. Each with expertise in different subject topics. You can say we had an army of Top teachers. Faculty is very friendly and Helping. You can ask the doubts personally and They won't mind. Faculty also helped actively in our personal Projects for third party competition and Exhibition. They are all So sweet (Except some, you know.) There are around 50-60 Faculties for All Branches of B.Sc. Most teachers are PhD and B.Ed. and They are Highly Experienced. Also they teach in Gujarati, Hindi and English as Per Students Requests.

GASC (also called Gujarat Collage) used to have it own Placement Fair for All courses. Top companies like LIC, HDFC, Zydus, and many Other companies take part each year. But from the year 2022, Gujarat Government organised a Joint fair for all Collages. Many small and Big Companies took part in it and Highest Package offered was 10 LPA. One of my Batch mate received a Package of 4.8 LPA while I got the Package of 3.6 LPA. Average Package is between 1.5 and 2 LPA. You can Expect more based on your Skills. Percentage of Students appeared for Placement was less compared to Students studying because a Larger number of Students prepared for government Exams, Army training, and CRPF training. Still a Large majority of Students were offered decent Jobs.

Gujarat Collage Does not have its Own Hostel. But there is a Gujarat University hostel. There are Limited numbers of entries and it is Mostly full. Also The Entries have Reservations for SC, ST, OBC and EWS. Hostel is Fine not great. Hostel fees are nominal Compared to other hostels. The food here is not good. Better spend on outside food rather than Hospital Bills.

The Infrastructure is Quite old but Steady. Large Classrooms and Labs. Open gardens and Sitting areas for Friends to chill, Library and Study area, Dedicated football, hockey, and Cricket Stadiums, Volleyball and Hand ball ground. You can Say its Inner Beauty is great but if you Judge by the Looks of it's, you are doing it wrong.

The Collage is Full of and Collage Life. Activities connect people and we make friends from every batch and Course. There are lot of Clubs like NCC and Environment Group. Also Every now and then there is Campaign carried with the Help of Volunteers. We have collage Fest but not happened since Pandemic. I bet, you will never Be Bored with the Campus and Collage Life.
