IIT Madras: Most Prestigious Institute of India

Overall Rating
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras is located in Chennai with area of approximately 600 acres. It has well maintained greenery through different type of plants, flower, etc. In this campus, you are going to see lots of animal around you like deer, cats, and monkeys, but sometimes monkeys are going to gave you headache. This institute has amazing infrastructure be it hostels, library, canteen, sports complex, or hangout area.
 

Academics Rating
All departments are good with outstanding faculty members. For getting admission in IIT Madras, the basic requirement is to clear JEE Mains and Advanced. After qualifying this, you will get admission in this institute. This program will give you best knowledge. It has some amazing branches, which you will get in few institutes i.e., Ocean Engineering, Applied Mechanics, and Biomedical Engineering.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties, which are in this institute, are best in their field of interest. They are supremely talented. They have a unique way of teaching their subjects which helps to understand the concept easily. The faculty, which is teaching here are, came with more than 10 years of experience. You can also be part of their projects, which they are working on. They are very simple and chill.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, IIT Madras has its own placement cell. Placement cell is very active and helps you get an exposure of recruitment process from first year of institute. In institute, various sessions were held to improve student’s personality and prepare them for placement test. Their career development sessions are very insightful and help you to choose best career path for yourself.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, It has massive accommodation facilities for the students. It has recently upgraded the hostels that will give you best experience and environment.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Yes, this institute has a best infrastructure among all the institutes in country. Recently built NAC-1 and NAC-2 is an eye catching hub of this campus. Other amenities of this institute include central library, Ajanta, Usha café, and CCD are also very good.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life of IIT Madras is super chill and full of enjoyment. You are going to be with best of the minds from country sharing knowledge, and so on. We have much stuff that is organized in campus such as technical fest, cultural fest, and financial fest. ‘36 Wall Street’ is finance fest of IIT. ‘Saarang’ is one of the biggest cultural fest.

    Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has been NIRF 1 for many years. It offers variety of degree courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, Ph.D, MS, MA, HS and specialization courses.   • A great campus life to explore

    My overall experience until now has been really good. The campus is really good and it really big so we can enjoy most of the time on our campus itself. As I am in Chennai the weather is really hot but inside the campus, the weather is somewhat cold as there is more greenery like trees, etc. It is a 450 acres campus and around 100 acres is like a forest, so the weather is really good.     It has been more than a year since I joined IIT Madras, where I am pursuing Mechanical Engineering. Recently, the NIRF rankings came out, and once again, we ranked number 1. This shows how well IIT Madras is performing, both academically and in many other aspects of college life. On the ground level, IIT Madras is indeed doing great in academics and beyond.     IIT Madras is NIRF 1st ranked institute with great alumni network and exposure (which was the first reason for me to choose this institute). This was also best option for me according to my JEE Advanced exam result.
