Starting with faculties, they all are really good and experienced. Some of them are also pretty frank and friendly with students. Other than that, respective departments have individual curriculum.

There is ‘Amizone’, which is the university's primary online site that as an e-book of record that belongs to every individual student during his or her tenure in the university. Curriculum is vast and emphasizes over root learning. At times it gets a bit stressful to keep up with but it is all for our betterment only, I presume. Better practical aspect to the subjects of the course is also provided.

Faculty is good, has recognized degrees from National Institutes, and retains adequate knowledge in their respective subjects that makes understanding easier to their students. Mode of teaching is mostly through PowerPoint presentations in class. Study materials are either uploaded on university's official site, or provided through individual class group by means of PDF.

Being a fresher, i do not have much real life experience on this matter, but it is heard from seniors that amity holds a good placement record and one might get placed at a reputed company provided the individual meets the company's sole requirements. But for academic courses, like for mine (B.Sc Biotechnology [Hons/Research]), it is recommended to go for higher studies, atleast Masters, to get better opportunities in terms of career prospects and job.

I am not staying in hostel, so cannot say on this.

Amity University Kolkata has a great infrastructure. It has a huge library, which is mostly two-storey and absolutely well organized, open to all Amitians and the best place to reside, be it for studying or relaxation. It had two canteens, one auditorium hall (two storey), two seminar halls, a spacious atrium, and a huge sports complex.

As until now, I love the campus life in Amity University Kolkata, it is huge with unlimited facilities. Numerous events are held every other day in a year by various departments. Amity provides a vast number of courses as well, from Science and Technology to Designing and Fine Arts that any other institution in West Bengal hardly provides. Various co-curricular clubs are also present, be it dancing, singing, fine arts, theatre or event management, that people may join to indulge in other activities apart from academics. However, it is advisable to do so only if one can balance classes and co-curricular altogether as departments are very strict about attendance. It becomes chaotic once it goes below 75%. Various fests are also held often, one of the greatest of these being ‘Amiphoria’.
