Life in K J Somaiya Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
This Institute is good providing all the facilities like modern lab instruments, sports equipment, good computer lab, average infrastructure, good faculty for teaching, etc. Timings are also favorable and have holiday on weekends. Talking about AI & DS, faculty is an average. Crowd here is mostly regional, so it is good.
 

Academics Rating
Institute in total have 4 courses: Computer Engineering, IT Engineering, AI&DS and EXTC. Talking about cutoff, for general; category candidates, it is around 95 percentile in MHTCET for regional minority, it is around 93 percentile. It is a well-known institute in Mumbai mostly for tech related fields.
 

Faculty Rating
Teaching faculty is good in most of the courses. However, some teachers are very strict regarding attendance and assignments. Other working staff is very helpful. Overall Institute has good teaching faculty.
 

Placement Rating
Talking about placement, placement rates vary for each course of technology, For IT, average is around 8 LPA. In addition, more than 50 companies come for on campus placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Institute has its own hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is and average. It has 8-storey building which needs to be refurbished.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is too good in K J Somaiya Institute of Technology. Technical fest is of 2-3 days, which is the best. Activities like coding competitions are held regularly. Along with MAC rumble, BGMI tournaments are also held in fest. Cultural fest is also best. Many students get opportunities to highlight their talent. Even DJ nights are organized. Overall campus life is great.

    I have been in K J Somaiya Institute of Technology for nearly 4 years, What I like about the institute is the peers with whom I study. The students of the institute get various opportunities where they can use their skills and showcase their proficiency in whichever field they want and the opportunities are high level opportunities.   • KJSIEIT has a decent crowd

    KJSIET Sion is a unit of KJ Somaiya Group and this institute is located in Ayurvihar Campus. I am not here to promote the college as the quality of teaching was A-one but the placements suck. The total intake is 360 and there are just 4 departments in KJSIET Mumbai. BE in Information Technology was my field and there were just a couple of students who got placement worth 10 lakhs as the rest were stranded in the range of 3-5.
