The university has a very good infrastructure. Primary thing that made me choose this university was the placements.

Every semester, you have to pay 128000 rupees and 4000 exam fee. About the admission process, you have to fill admission form and give entrance exam which will help you getting the scholarship but you can skip the exam if you want and get admission by boards result or JEE Mains result. The curriculum is updated every year according to the trends. for example, we had a subject called Artificial Intelligence but later by seeing the rise of chatgpt and other chat bots, the curriculum shifted and the subject was changed to Generative Artificial Intelligence which I think is very good decision. This deals with real world problems. One thing that I would say is that attendance rules can be bit more lenient. Every year, exams are conducted (mid semester and end semester) along with the class tests in between and their weightage will be added in your final report.

The faculty members at LPU, Jalandhar are great. They will teach you everything and if you have any doubt, they will clear them in their free time. Students can inform HOD of the department if they not satisfied from any of the faculty.

You can participate in placements from your fifth semester in which you can also get internships. Few companies that came this year were TCS, Cognizant, Google, Amazon, etc. Highest package that someone got this year as far as I know is 30 LPA and the average package is from 5 to 8 LPA. Almost 85% students get placements every year. I plan to get placement and gain experience, and then pursue MBA from US.

I have opted for AC room and with 4 other roommates. You can choose anything like single room or non-AC in which you get a cooler that is also fine. An attached bathroom is provided in every room. I have not taken mess facility so I cannot talk about the mess food. Every year, the hostel selection process opens in which you can select hostel of your choice and room you want with your friends. The room is not that expensive and you can afford the hostel easily.

There are different blocks in LPU, Jalandhar for every domain like Architecture, Engineering, Law, etc. Each of them has its own infrastructure. There are many buildings and you will not feel cramped in the blocks. There are 20 blocks just for Engineering students. In addition, in every block there is a canteen for students and teachers to eat. There are many amenities for students like parking lot and a park for students to chill around after the class or during break time. Library is accessible to all during class times or on holidays until 12 at midnight. You can get any book you want and issue it from there for a week, and then you have to reissue it. There is a projector in every classroom, the seats are well cushioned, and AC in every room that is very good. There is two huge grounds and one small football ground where you can play, two courts for basketball, three volleyball courts, one basketball court, 9 squash courts, 12 badminton courts, 12 badminton courts and one big auditorium.

Every year, you have a big cultural event. Last year, we had One India event and this year we had one World. They are held in April and May every year.
