University of Engineering and Management B.Tech Review By Pritam Mitra

In the year 2016, I got admitted to University Of Engineering And Management In B-Tech Course and from the first day the friendly and guiding behavior of all the faculty members helped me to build my career. The College is affiliated to AICTE and is an autonomous university approved by UGC. The college has a very smooth admission process which offers both online and offline admission facilities and the management of College is very good with discipline as its utmost priority.

I joined a Bachelor's in Technology course in Electronics and Communication engineering. The college has a separate entrance examination named IEMJEE, but the college also takes admission with the help of WBJEE. My course subjects are as per my expectations. I joined this course because from my 10+2 days Physics and Mathematics were my favorite subjects, and in this digital age where everyone uses a Smartphone and in the world their internet connectivity falls under basic needs, being an electronic engineer would help me to get good job opportunities both in electronics and communication industry. This course really helped me a lot to crack different job interviews. I was selected by multiple companies from the on-campus placements and I am very happy and fortunate about that. Excellent bunch of faculties, who guided us, taught us and repeated the same concept again and again to make us understand the critical and important concepts. There was more than one project for each subject in every semester. Either a group project or an individual one which helps us to know the real life problems and how to find solutions to those problems which is very much important as an engineer.

My department was Electronics and Communication Engineering and in my department only there are more than twenty faculties who are extremely helpful, friendly and of good nature All the faculties have completed their masters degree and many of them are pursing PhD. All the faculty members are really good teachers who would make you understand each and every topic. Also you would get an opportunity to work under your favorite faculties for your final year projects. The faculties are very friendly and are ready to help you any time in addition to the class hours.

The college has a great training and placement cell with proper and dedicated focus on each student's performance during the training period for the placement season. Separate Aptitude, Coding classes to crack IT jobs, Govt and GATE coaching classes, English communication classes and many more and the best part is you don't have to pay separate registration fees to take these classes. All are included in the fees. lSO the placement cell would help you to find an internship or will arrange for an industrial training program which is very much needed in order to get acquainted with the real life scenario and problems.

Yes hostel facility is there and both boys and girls hostels are separate. I haven't lived in the college hostel but I went there many times to meet my friends, and the facilities are really good.

A huge campus with state of the art laboratories, 24*7 open library, huge basket ball ground, green campus and also there is a separate medical cell with doctors available there. You can visit the doctor for a checkup, absolutely free of cost.

Great campus life with all the amenities like cafeteria, clubs, common room, basketball ground. There were many activities that take place around a year like quiz, music, dance competitions, annual fests. And a lot of activities There were also different guests or faculties who came to our campus and had great discussions. There were also different cultural and academic award programs or ceremonies that took place. College life was a very great experience for me and you would also love the ambience and atmosphere that is present inside the college. So, I highly recommend my juniors to choose UEM from where your career will start with flying colors.
