Bihar National College : A Legacy to Bihar Higher Education

Overall Rating
Bihar National College is a constituent unit of Patna University. I chose this because the distance between my home and college is not so far. The faculties are quite cooperative and knowledgeable also. It is a lush green campus. The students come from various backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, religions, towns, villages and even from abroad.
 

Academics Rating
I chose BA (Political Science) as my Hons. as it will help me in my career in future. I got into this college via entrance test PUCET conducted by the university and according to marks obtained one is allotted colleges. You need to be 12th pass with 50 percentile in order to apply for PUCET.
 

Faculty Rating
The Bihar National College’s teachers are highly qualified; still they manage to teach students with full gratitude and knowledge in order to lead those to a greater path in life. The style of teaching can be varied from person to person. They are empathetic and generous towards the students. The faculties come from a very prestigious educational background such as a Ph.D in varied topics.
 

Placement Rating
I was pursuing a traditional course. As per my knowledge there is no scope for placement. But with prior knowledge and experience one can acquire jobs in civil services and can prepare for other competitive exams.
 

Hostel Rating
Bihar National College has hostel but honestly I would say hostel facilities are very average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average comprising of a canteen which opens up rarely but the food comes in a reasonable price with online payment system facilities. The campus has a library with ample amount of books to read. The campus has a playground with a basketball court and a tennis court. It has labs and common rooms for both boys and girls.
 

Campus Rating
Along with studies and practical, the students also get the opportunity to participate in cultural fests, NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corps) for both boys and girls. Sports day, annual day, fresher’s party and farewell parties are organised here by various departments. Teacher’s day celebration also takes place in the campus. Various seminars and debates are also organised by different departments on various topics of awareness.
