Freshmen’s Point of View

Overall Rating
I joined MANIT Bhopal on 12th August 2024 and recently I realized that it is a blessing. I participated in Oratory and Quiz competition, got to be part of wonderful Fests and made amazing friends.
 

Academics Rating
Academics at MANIT (at least for 1st year) are chill. The curriculum is not hectic. There is enough room for participating in extra-curricular activities and side by side taking care of academics. 75% attendance is mandatory which is quite stressful. We have 3 exams to take care of: Mini Tests, Mid Sem, and End Sem along with tons of practical work is made to be performed.
 

Faculty Rating
Overall, the faculty is good. They are supportive and keep providing notes through any medium. It is good until you mess with the faculties. Some of the faculties are helpful as they give freedom on attendance and assignments.
 

Placement Rating
Overall, the placements statistics of MANIT for CSE and Circuital Branches are good. Many friends left upper NIT's for this one. One of the main reasons for this was placement records.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels facilities are available here. Facilities like washing machine, vending machines, and night canteen are recently added in the hostel that improved things. The only troubling thing is that it is very restricted.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Overall, the infrastructure is old in most parts. Although the department buildings are quite new and impressive, our classes do have basic requirements. The library and various other utilities are also not up to the mark.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life was very impressive in these 2 months. I got to be part in various fests and activities which include - Our Hindi Cultural Fest Tooryanad (Chattra Sansad), Fresher's Day, and Cultural Fest Maffic (FINIT and IDQC), which helped in enhancing my Skills. I made awesome friends during this and really enjoyed.

  • Starting a new journey at MANIT

    I got admission in MANIT, Bhopal through CSAB special round (2024). I was happy because I am from Kanpur, UP and Bhopal is near compared to other cities so, it is easy to travel. I visited the campus with my family for the admission process and we were pleasantly surprised by the large and lush green campus, made on a plateau.     Being a Manitian, I would say this institute is an awesome place to complete your B.Tech for your overall personality development and to gain practical knowledge. I chose the Electrical Engineering branch because I have an interest in learning and working on electrical gadgets. You get every required machine here which is a plus point of this institute....
