My experience at TNAU, Coimbatore

Overall Rating
I chose to study B.Sc Agriculture (Hons.) because of the increased chances of employability available in the sector and also considering the status and facilities available at TNAU Coimbatore. The University has almost all the amenities available in the campus so that the students can grow holistically.
 

Academics Rating
The course has high scope employability and is a very good professional degree. It not only gives us more information about various plants, but it also given us a new chance of creating a healthy environment and take a chance in entrepreneurship. It will be helpful to get more and more profitable income by using different technologies.
 

Faculty Rating
Course teachers are very intelligent and skilled professionals. They are also very good researchers and talented persons. They research and release new varieties to increase the income of farmers and also of our country. They teach us everything step by step and some professors are very humble and give us important life lessons as well.
 

Placement Rating
We don’t have placement for B.Sc Agriculture (Hons.).
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostels facilities available at a reasonable cost.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our buildings are quite old since it was built in 1906. It is very sturdy and has crossed a century and even now it stands like a giant, well maintained building. There are many blocks in the university which are insects oriented, disease oriented, Economics related and agricultural development oriented. We have 3 colleges in one campus and that’s the specialty of TNAU Coimbatore.
 

Campus Rating
The campus was built in an area of around 2500 acres land. It has such a wonderful nature around and a studious environment. All the trees, flower crops, vegetable crops, fruit trees and crops, forest trees are present inside the campus. Wetland is also present inside the campus for cultivating rice and pulse crops. The pulses and oilseeds have other sections.

    Overall Rating
    Our university is ranked 5th by NIRF all over India. Agriculture, Horticulture, etc. courses are being offered here from UG, PG up to Ph.D. The students passed out from here have excelled in various field starting from IAS, IPS, etc.... Read Full Review
