My Views on National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Ranchi

Overall Rating
This is one of the prestigious institutes in Jharkhand. Earlier, it was under Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT) but, today it is a deemed university. The alumni of this institute are present at good place in India and also in foreign. Many are head and managing directors of companies. This institute is best for Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering. This institute offers 100 percent placement in this branch. Overall, this institute is good when it is compared to tier 3 or tier 4 NIT’s.
 

Academics Rating
Academic is good here. All required materials for academic section are present in library. Also for academics, this institute has a workshop which is Asia's largest workshop. My course is Mechanical Engineering. I choose this course because in that institute Mechanical Engineering has good placements and many students crack GATE exam with AIR 3.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is good here. All are qualified and have done Ph.D from authorized institutions like IIT and foreign institutes. Difficulty is faced in the semester exam due to incomplete syllabus but it also depends on students who have done their HW and completed their syllabus through reference books which are present in the library. Faculties are good when we compared to professor of tier 2 or tier 3 NIT’s.
 

Placement Rating
Almost 100% students are placed every year. Highest package in Mechanical Engineering is 16 LPA and lowest is 4 LPA. Average package is 9.5 LPA which is better than many NIT’s. Most of the students are recruited by JSW. Almost 97% student got internship in JSW Steel and Vedanta which offered an average package of 8 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good and mess is also good. It provides proper food for a healthy life. Other facilities and infrastructure are average here but they are sufficient for fulfilling the daily needs of the students. Many programs and seminars are held here every month.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is not up to the mark. Many buildings in campus are under construction. Its administrative building structure is very attractive like NIT’s. Here, a Library is available which is good for academic requirements of the students.
 

Campus Rating
This is my first year. So, my batch strength in first semester is 70. There are many clubs in the institute. There are strict rules for ragging. Different committees are also present here. The campus life is good here.

    More than 2 years have been passed and institute life seems to be decent. National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology do not have a big campus area still the institute is worth taking admission due to its fees and low student intake. I choose this institute due to its advancement in manufacturing technology which is as per standards and need of the nation.     Our college is situated in Ranchi which is the capital of state Jharkhand. Being in the state of Jharkhand, it provides a lot of placement opportunities for core branches like mechanical, material science, and production engineering.     This educational institution is situated in the capital city of state Jharkhand. College is well known for its recent development in infrastructure and placement. Our Institution recently made its place in the list of Institute of national importance and got its name in the list of IITs and NITs. NIAMT college clearly a dream college for me....
