My College life in Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College

Overall Rating
The experience at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College is good to average. Attendance criteria need to be followed really strictly. Since we are under MAKAUT, they have to take some exams in spite of low attendance but our next batch is not under them and thus can't guarantee this for the future. Our friends and classmates are really very good and helpful, and thus class atmosphere is always happy and cheerful. Here, the campus is really very big and there are plenty of areas to explore and enjoy.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently pursuing B.Tech and the closing rank to take admission here is around 25000-28000 but in this year it has decreased much. Students with best ranks are usually seen to enroll in CSE and I am also CSE student and this department has plenty of labs and assistants who helps us out over there, and they are really knowledgeable people.
 

Faculty Rating
Our teachers are very friendly and understand us very well. They take our problem as their problems and try their level best to make sure we learn or solve the particular problem. Some are strict while some are soft but everyone has their own unique style of teaching. Maximum of them are PhD pass teachers and very knowledgeable and updated with today's world.
 

Placement Rating
Placements at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College depend on the ability of the person. Students who are able to qualify for the job, gets it while others doesn't. This is how it works, others who do not deserve, don’t get job. Here the average package is 3.5 lakh around but last year very limited amount of job was offered.
 

Hostel Rating
The 1st year hostel and other year’s hostel are different, so there is no chance of ragging. The life in hostel is really something to cherish.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College campus is really beautiful with trees, well maintained gardens and healthy atmosphere. The buildings are well-maintained and if any problem, we can also inform the undertaking teachers. However, we face some issues in summers as the classes lack air-conditioning.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd in Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College is always fine. In fest, we contribute and most of the enjoyment is in cultural fest. Students interested in different sports can also participate. The life over here is just like what you wish to have in your plate.

    I truly appreciate overall environment of Dr. BCREC. The diverse community of all sectors is present there. The curriculum activities are well-structured by balancing theory with practical applications. The college holds a strong reputation as well. Nevertheless along with all the plus points, there are certain drawbacks as well.     I am currently in 2nd year, pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Talking about my college, as you all know it's a private engineering college but nevertheless has good environment, clean and beautiful campus, fully equipped and maintained labs along with a library.     Here is my honest review including both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Most of the faculty members are approachable. However not all teachers are equally good while most of the teachers are considered a few are less interactive but still majority of the teaching staff is excellent. The labs are made in such a way that students can have best hands-on experience. However, maintenance of PCs in computer lab can be better.     I would like to recommend this college because it has very strong academics, good infrastructure, high-quality placement, and excellent campus life. There are some flaws regarding infrastructure like Wi-Fi availability but the college is in development phase, so there is constant construction going inside the campus.
