Had I attended more of the offline college, it would have been more fun learning. At DYPCOE, you get to learn so many things. I had heard so much about the college overall, most of the good things. That's why I chose to pursue my masters from here. Placement-wise the college is 10/10. Lots of students especially come here from different cities just because of placement. Having done masters in IT itself opens a door for dozens of opportunities in today's digital world. I always wanted to do masters from a college other than Bangalore Institute of Technology from where I did my UG. Why not explore one more academic system? And I'm thankful that I have my masters' degree from here.

Growth of every student is checked individually. Every student is given the same opportunities towards academic resources. Masters is all about practical knowledge. You have to use your creativity, thinking, knowledge that you've gained till the date into your work. Our academics are structured in a way where we are constantly in touch with practical work rather than theories. That only makes one a good engineer. Otherwise, you know what is the condition of an engineer in India today. The one thing I really wanted to have was holidays in my masters. DYPCOE gives very few holidays.

No teacher will come to help you if you don't understand anything. They'll take regular classes and tests, will guide you also but then you're on your own for studies and notes. Teachers don't expect that PG students need ready-made notes. We have to search for more books and make our own notes. Last year's notes won't be applied to this year because the syllabus keeps updating every year.

The most important thing this college provides is a privilege to have exposure to the biggest companies for recruitment. Count yourself as fortunate if you are placed in one of the companies. Your hard work really pays off here in placements. Companies from different sectors are called upon for placements. Reputed companies are there. For this placement, college arranges mock tests to guide you about the actual criteria of recruitment and overall prepare you for the interview also. The IT sector and computer sector are two main fields that have a high number of placements as compared to other fields of engineering. I got placement in one of the big companies but I was also applying for Govt. exams and luckily got selected in one of them so had to leave that placement for a better option.

Being a proper Punekar, I didn't need to stay in a hostel. I have heard good things about hostels from my juniors who stay there. They are given 3 meals, and many different facilities are available including indoor/outdoor games and TV. Boys and girls have separate hostels. Staying in the hostel was quite affordable as I have heard from the students. College as well as hostel is in the market area and thus it is tremendously convenient. The girls' hostel is just beside the college but the boys' hostel is little away from the college. Overall, though I didn't stay in the hostel, I will recommend it for those who want to stay in it.

One thing comes to my mind while describing college infrastructure 'Enormous'. Big classrooms, library, canteen, auditorium, etc. everything is huge. I attended offline college only in the first semester. Being the nerd I am, my favorite place to be at the college was the library, but I hardly had enough time to spend there. To my fortune, DYPCOE has 2 libraries with plenty of books and a study room too where you can spend your whole day studying or working on projects. Classrooms and auditorium are equipped with advanced facilities.

I didn't get a chance to enjoy much of campus life during my masters due to the pandemic. Almost all 4 semester classes and exams were online. If you ask me, offline colleges add more value to your life than distance learning. Due to online classes no festivals and events were celebrated as it used to but the college did conduct a lot of academic workshops which were helpful in our studies and personality development. I've visited the college a few times and the campus area is cheerful. It is such a big space that I can imagine all the fun students used to have during events.
