Jadavpur University: Ideal University to get Best Placement

Overall Rating
Our university is a tier 1 state public university with NIRF 2024 rank 12th in Engineering Category. Placement is very good (up to 100%) in some departments like Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Overall placement was 95% last year. One of the best institutes in the country and beats IITs due to its low fee structure (around 9.6k for 4 years). Overall, it is very safe for girls.
 

Academics Rating
Faculties in Jadavpur University are best of the best. Most Faculties hold a PhD degree from top most institutions of India like IITs & IISc. Many faculties are among the 2% scientist in the world and many of them have received fellowships from top foreign universities for their research papers. They all teach with dedication & devotion.

Placement Rating
We do have a well trained Placement Cell. The average package is 6.75 LPA for Arts & Science background and for Engineering, the average package is 9 LPA and median package is 7 LPA. Placement is top notch in each and every department. For CSE/IT, the average package goes up to 20 LPA and highest 85 LPA (domestic), and 1.8 CPA (international).
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is quite good, but some buildings need repair work. All buildings are equipped with necessary amenities. Emergency services like Ambulance & First Aid are readily available in the campus premises. Labs & Workshop buildings are well equipped as per modern industry standards. TEQIP building is administrative office in the main campus. Almost all departments have their separate buildings & laboratories.
 

Campus Rating
After IIT KGP, our university has best campus among all the institutes of Eastern India. Various Fests (like Tech Fest & Cultural Fest) and programs are organized by different clubs & societies regularly in the campus premises. Some of the clubs include Motorsport, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Chess, E-Sports, Debate and various societies include Maths, Science, Literary, Linguistic, Music, Dance, etc.

    The overall experience of the university is superb. I'll describe each aspect in the later section but here let me give an outline of my experience. Jadavpur University offers the best ROI in India, the fees is just 2400 and getting an average placement of 10 LPA (20 LPA for CSE). There's no 75% attendance policy, 45-50% is enough.     JU is one of the premier Universities in India. It has the lowest 4 years of B.E fees i.e. 10k/-. It has a great alumni network, no compulsory attendance policy, a beautiful campus life, and a decent gender ratio, which is better than IIT’s. On the other hand, it has some drawbacks too that involves average infrastructure, corruption in Ph.D admission, and antinational active organizations that often degrade the image of the University....     In my initial days, I had some language issues but by the passing time, I overcame this issue due to my seniors. The best part of Mechanical Engineering is senior-junior interaction, which helps us in personality development and many other problems.     I chose this university because it offers us the course with minimal fee and the placement of this university is better than many other colleges and universities.
