Overall, the university is good. It is the best government Engineering university under the state government in Odisha. Computer Science (CSE) is the royal branch. People in this branch are those who have very good ranks. I have even seen people who were not satisfied with the Mechanical/ Chemical branch of NIT Rourkela and took Computer Science here to follow up their passion. I chose OUTR, Bhubaneswar because of its placement records and it is in the capital city of Odisha i.e. Bhubaneswar. In this university seniors are like your elder brothers and sisters. According to my point of view Odisha University of Technology and Research is a vast college, covering a wide area of approximately 100 acres. Our Honorable Chief Minister Mister Naveen Pattnaik funded college to improve the infrastructure and he said that OUTR will be like IIT'S in the future 5 years. OUTR (Odisha University of Technology and Research) formerly CET (College of Engineering and Technology) is one of the best state government technical university of Odisha. It is located in Bhubaneswar, near Khandagiri. If you look for overall review then it would be 7.5 out of 10. I am a 1st year mechanical student. Here the teachers are very cooperative and helpful.
