My Journey at Purulia Polytechnic

Overall Rating
I was always fascinated from childhood about electrical energy and machines driven by it and that's why I have chosen this course (Diploma in Electrical Engineering). Purulia Polytechnic is one of the finest colleges in West Bengal that's why I have made decision to get admission here. Although the college is located in my hometown Purulia and that was one of the prime reasons to get into here.
 

Academics Rating
Here full time diploma in Electrical Engineering course is provided. Also Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electronics, etc branches are also taught here. Our college is approved by AICTE. A student must have 35% marks in 10th board exam to get into the college. Student also has to clear JEXPO / VOCLET exams are conducted by AICTE, later according to the ranks and cutoff for each branch, students get admission in the college.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members of our course are highly knowledgeable and helpful to the students. Almost all of them have completed their M.Tech from some reputed institutions. They always inspire us to lead a prosperous life. They not only teach us Electrical Engineering subjects but also teach us various life lessons for leading a better life.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there's a placement cell at our college that is run by our respected faculty members. Almost 80% of students get placements after doing diploma from our college. Placement is provided in various companies such as Tata, Nippon, JSL, JSW, L&T, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college has hostels for both boys and girls. Around Rs.1500 is charged yearly as hostel fee. Meals are provided twice a day. All the buildings including hostel buildings are solid in condition although needs a bit of repairing because they are old enough.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college has three main buildings which have classrooms for teaching different branches of engineering. These buildings also contain faculty rooms. A library is also there which has around 10000+ books and journals of different topics. Laboratories are also there with many types of equipment and machineries required for teaching different branches of engineering.
 

Campus Rating
I am enjoying my college days with my friends in our college campus. Several clubs are created for several motives which are basically run by students. Several college functions takes place throughout the year, such as Fresher’s party, The Social, Teachers' Day, Tech Fest, etc. Students here gains academic knowledge and also focus on self development.
