Overall Rating
Kalyani Government Engineering College is best college for B.Tech degree. Everyone can join for their graduation degree from any department. Best faculties are here. Placement opportunities are decent especially in non-tech branches as well as campus life is very good. Hostel life is best here. Overall review for Kalyani Government Engineering College is best for studies in computer science Engineering, information technology and ECE department. Furthermore it is also good for EE, ME department.
 

Academics Rating
I am from electronics & communication engineering department. My ECE faculties are very cooperative and they very much encourage us to research and create project and they offer best lab facilities. They are very strict about our studies, homework, lab copies, writing, etc. They are very supportive. The department focuses on theoretical and practical learning with circuit designing, VHDL, VLSI courses, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at KGEC is expert and is committed to quality education. Professors are very much experienced and have completed Ph.D of their degrees. Their engaging research writing, research paper and also creating new project speech helps the world to create something new. They have very strong knowledge of their own department.
 

Placement Rating
KGEC has a strong placement record. Companies like TCS, Wipro, cognizant, Infosys Décor, etc. and also the semiconductor companies are invited by the cell to hire the students. Placement cell is very active in the internship research.
 

Hostel Rating
Hotel life is a best life for a college student. In hostel there are some restrictions for the students. Infrastructure is okay for living and spending 4 years of college life. It provides decent foot and water. Food is provided twice daily, in morning and at night. Hostile environment is so peaceful to study.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus academic blocks have very good infrastructure. The classrooms are mediocre, sports ground ready for playing, laboratories are fully air conditioned and infrastructure are well maintained. The academic buildings are modern. Seminar hall where placements are arranged has central AC. Total infrastructure is very good for KGEC students. Badminton court, cricket ground, gym are available.
 

Campus Rating
In KGEC campus life is very much exciting & fun. Here some popular fests like tech fest, cultural fest, etc. are organsied. In campus various clubs are included like gdsc club, coding club from KGEC, elysium club for dancing, riyaz club for singing, chitrank club for drawing crafting, alumni club, shutterbugs club for photo shoot, etc.

    I appeared for WBJEE and according to my WBJEE rank I got admission in this particular college. I got selected in the first round and at the second round of counseling I upgraded my department from ECE to IT.
