St Xavier’s College holds its name and is a wonderful place for a child of 17 years to become an adult as the atmosphere is very supporting and nourishing. The college is a perfect blend between academic and non academic related activities and provides a whole lot of opportunities to its students so that they can identify and develop interest in fields they feel passionate towards. The crowd is much diversified with people from various different regions and also a healthy competition is seen amongst the peers. The societies inculcate confidence hard work and consistency among the students with lots and lots of fun. The college is overall a very good place to create memories and stories to tell in future as it has everything a good college has. Its NIRF rank is 6 all over the country.

The college is very well known for its academics and any word said is not a lie. The teaching style is overall quite satisfying and being a first year student the academic experience is quiet good for me. The environment here is also very competitive yet nurturing to get out of that fear into the real world. The criterion for B.Com is based on board examination and varies from board to board. The cutoff being high makes the college a dream for many and as a person whose elder brother is graduated from the same; it was very exciting to get an opportunity to study here.

The teachers are good with different yet catchy methods to teach. The PPTs made are also very engaging and helpful containing many references about the topic taught. The commerce department is very cooperative and also solves doubts at first chance though being strict about rules such as not using mobile phone or talking in the class which itself creates a very focused environment. Also the faculty encourages doubts and thoughts among the students so the classes are very interactive.

Yes, there is a placement cell and they do their job to their best of capacities. The placements are very good and the average packages itself shows that the students are not only book smart but also are very confident along with great personality.

The infrastructure given that the college is more than a decade long is quite good. The canteen has a variety of food items to select from. The college has indoor as well as outdoor games facilities for the students. The cyber room is also very good and recently ACs has been installed in some classrooms too. Library is great with loads of books to study from and the auditorium is also nice.

The campus life focuses on holistic development of a student with lots and lots of societies to be a part of and have several fests and events around the year. There are events catering to every kind of interest such as sports, educational, artistic, dance, music, etc. and no one feels left out. The crowd is very literate and also has people coming from different cities thus giving chance to learn from them and sharing experiences.
