All about NIT Uttarakhand

Overall Rating
NIT Uttarakhand is a good institute to consider if you are looking for other GFTIs in Uttarakhand. It is good in academics. If you want to go for higher studies, then also you may consider this NIT. MOUs are signed with IIT Delhi, which means direct admission to IIT Delhi for PhD and no GATE examination is required.
 

Academics Rating
There are five Engineering branches here namely, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Civil and Mechanics. Overall, above 90 percentile is required to get into this branch of NIT. Curriculum is quite tough.
 

Faculty Rating
Overall, average 10 faculties are there in each branch. All the professors are from top IITs. Their teaching level is high enough and according to that, exams are not easy to score. The professors are very friendly in nature. You can ask your doubts any time you want. Some faculties use smart boards to teach, and some use blackboards.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell in our institute. Right now placement is not that good because of the current recession in the country. Before that, decent placement rate was there. Last year, the highest package was 25 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel life is very good. No such restrictions are there. The hostels are well-built with modern facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Currently, we are in a temporary campus, but its permanent campus is under-construction, where 2 buildings are being built. First building will be completed in a year. There are six academic block and 5 of them for different branches, and one for academic section & director office. At present, the classes are held in Polytechnic campus and labs in ITI campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good if you love adventure. Every year, Institute also arranges trips to Badrinath, Kedarnath, and many other pilgrims. Hilly area is very good to see. Alaknanda River flows behind the institute. There are some coding and literary clubs in the institute for students. ‘Cliffesto’, an institute fest is organized every year.
