I was very thrilled to do Engineering from away from my home so I chose Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. It has the good impression of good placement, comparatively less amount for fee, and good in teaching as well. The new batch of students should go to this institute because they can enjoy their campus life as well as get quality education and along with best career opportunities. Variety of events takes place throughout the year, which will help in overall development.

There are many types of courses available here, you can opt for any. Although, for getting in HITK, you need to clear WBJEE or JEE Main. For WBJEE, your rank should be above 10000, and for CSE branch it should be above 3000. The basic 10 + 2 marks should be more than 65%. Scholarships are also available for students of West Bengal through SVMCM. If you come to this institute you will get everything: knowledge, learning, career opportunities, and events.

Faculties over here are very helpful, and supporting. They assist each and every student in whatever they want to do. The courses are tough (as mine was ECE) but they are very insightful. Teachers here are experienced and have multiple approach of teaching. They don't get frustrated when multiple questions are asked; They even make class cheerful by including activities like quiz, or give answer and take gift.

Yes, we have a placement cell in our institute, and it is very active. During the time of recession, it gave almost each and every students job, and those who were very choosy they did not received any offer. But last year, more than 55 companies came to campus including MNCs and startups.

Yes, hostel as well as PG facilities are available. Hostel food is better than average. There are single as well as 2 and 3 sharing rooms. There are 4 rooms in one side of boundary and another had four. In one boundary, we have 2 bathrooms, a fridge, TV, washing machine, microwave, and in the rooms, we had small cupboards, beds and study table for each student. Bed is box beds where we used to store our belonging and each bed had 2 plug points. There are approximately 8 girl’s hostels and 12 boy’s hostels.

Heritage Group of Institution has very big and aesthetic campus. For HITK, it has mainly 3 buildings namely CME (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) which also has academics and placement cell included in it, ICT (CSE, ECE, IT, AEIE). The central building which had all the other departments. Each building had basements filled with labs as per curriculum, and there was library in which approximately 500+ students can sit and study at a time. They also had digital library. In sports complex, there were relay tracks, 2 football fields, cricket ground, 2 basketball courts, 2 long tennis court, swimming pools, and archery field.

There are multiple clubs (Dance, Art, Photography, Literature, Singing, Magazine, Sports, Science, and Hackathons). There are multiple events competitions and gatherings. Campus life was very energetic. It has well connectivity with the base city so we used to enjoy a lot.
