Life at Mohan Babu University, Tirupati

Overall Rating
I'm a second year B.Tech student at Mohan Babu University and I'd give this college 3 out of 5, considering the rules, faculty, student life, and peer group and hostel life. I'd probably call this a strict university when compared to others with the rules and regulations. Whereas the faculty and there teaching is fine.
 

Academics Rating
I have joined in this university through EAPCET (a state level entrance exam conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh). If you're joining through the government entrance test you're rank must be under 25k (might vary according to your reservations) to secure a seat here. You can also join through the management quota available in the university. Also, you can join through the exam conducted by the university management known as MBUCET.
 

Faculty Rating
I would probably say the faculty is fine. Not everyone's experienced, and not everyone explains that well. There will be many young professors- this has advantages and disadvantages as well. They're not that experienced is the disadvantage, but they're passionate enough to teach you well. It all depends on one's way of teaching. There are couple of amazing faculty and also few people who do not teach so well.
 

Placement Rating
Coming to the placements review, the placements here are pretty good up to what we've seen. The highest package is around 60LPA and the average package is around 5-6 LPA. But, as a student I'd say the placements are completely going to depend on you and the skills you learn. University is just going to give you a chance to prove the knowledge you've gained. And, this university gives you the chance by inviting many good companies.
 

Hostel Rating
We do have residential facilities, but the disadvantage for female students is that the hostel is out of the campus premises. You'd have to start before 30 minutes (by walk and there won't be much transportation) to reach you're class room which is definitely a problem. Whereas for the male students you do have hostels inside the campus premises so it's not going to be a problem for you. The infrastructure and also the facilities are average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university is constructed in a 100 acre land which is kind of huge. There are going to be many academic blocks and building. It was established in the year 1996 so few blocks are pretty old. The amenities are average, sometimes it is going to be fine but sometimes you'd face problems with the basic amenities.
 

Campus Rating
There are going to be many clubs including technical and non-technical clubs. The clubs are going to be pretty fun if you find the one of your interest. There are going to be minimal number of fests, and not many festivals will be celebrated in the university.
