My Journey in IITR

Overall Rating
After going through JEE Advanced, when it's come to counseling, I found it's very tough to choose between good institutes. Finally I filled institutes as per my limited knowledge and got IIT Roorkee with Physics branch. Now after passing from institute I must say that, it is India's most prestigious institute. it can be said very evidently with the NIRF ranking also. So I will suggest everyone if you got any opportunity for IITR then you can go for it without any hesitation.
 

Academics Rating
There are several courses which institute run in its academic program like for B.Tech Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical , Mechanical, Civil, Physics, Textile, Industrial Production, Metallurgy Chemical Engineering, etc. Likewise other programs are Humanities, MBA, B.Sc, BA, PhD, and M.Tech. To enroll in these programs, you have to go through the rigorous process of exams like JEE Advanced, IIT JAM, GATE, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
All teachers are enough qualified to teach us different subjects. The minimum qualification to become professor in IIT is PhD in one field. So we can assume that they are expert in their subjects. Now if we talk about their teachings style, then opinions are divided in this matter. Most (almost 90%) of the professor hold good command in making us understand everything.
 

Placement Rating
In placement, this institute is among one of the institute which provides highest average placement records in country. The average placement of Physics branch is 13 LPA which is very good. In some branches like CSE, it's way more than our branch something around 30 LPA. For further references, you can refer institute website.
 

Hostel Rating
One of the best facilities. These types of institutes of course provide hostel. The life which transform you whole life is obviously hostel life. In our hostels, many facilities are provided like mess, single room, chair, table, fan, bed, washing machine, playground, badminton court, TT court, small Gym, park, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic block i.e. Thomson is very renowned building in which shooting of various films have been done in past. This building has been constructed by Britishers in 1850s. Other buildings like central library, departments of various branches, students club, swimming pool, cricket ground, football ground, various canteens, hostel buildings, guest house, convocation hall, etc. Infrastructure wise, it has very beautiful campus which I love the most in my 4 year of Engineering.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is quite amazing. Talking about fests which institute conducts, are Cognisance, Thomso, etc. They are really amazing. Other engagement activities are sports activity, NCC, NSO, innovation club, dancing club, singing club, etc.

    The campus is excellent in terms of infrastructure, academics, environment and overall facilities. It is the oldest engineering institute in Asia with a legacy of more than 175 years. The alumni base is very huge and the connection this institute has with the industry experts is unmatchable. Overall the institute is a good blend of all extracurricular activities and academics.     The institute fulfills every requirement of students and living up to the name of an IIT with ranking among top 7 Engineering Institutes of India. I love everything here, from academics to library to Cultural fests. The institute is the best.     I particularly accepted this college in my first round of JOSAA counselling. The reasons for choosing an IIT are mainly its infrastructure and placement opportunities. Here there are also internship opportunities which many students can grab in their 3rd and 4th year which helps in placements. Overall the campus is wonderful and worth it.... Read Full Review
