Previously, the university was known as Ansal University and was considered one of the highest-rated universities in Gurugram. It turned into Sushant in 2012, and things have gone better from good. The university's infrastructure has improved but at the cost of fees as that has also increased. Many new faculties have been brought in, and therefore at Sushant, one will see a great faculty to student ratio. AIEEE scores are considered for admission into engineering. However, that's not the only way as the university gives direct admissions. The quality of students may not be that of IITs, but the quality of facilities will surely match that. I was glad to be a part of this university as overall; it was an overwhelming experience for me.

Sushant University takes admission a little more seriously as they have invested a lot in getting the best teachers and content for the students. The classes are such that you will love being in the classrooms rather than going elsewhere. All the classes were recorded, and one can take help of that if missed. All the students were in all smiles while taking the classes because the new-age learning was always on offer. Taking a leaf out of class all day was possible, but one just can't attend the classes and has to pay attention to what's being taught.

Erstwhile, the faculty of the university was not so overwhelming but come the inception of Sushant University; the first thing that has changed is its faculty. Not just they have grown in numbers but in stature as well. I will give a lot of credit to be able to crack GATE at will to some of my professors. The faculty never stopped teaching the further concepts of the subject, which we eventually had to during M. Tech. From B. Tech to M. Tech, the ratio of students taking up the course is quite low, but at Sushant University, nearly half the class did. No points for guessing who should be credited for that. The faculty of Sushant was the one, who paved the way for us.

One thing that I realized after doing PG is that TCS maybe India's largest IT company but is the one that pays the least. Like many other students, I was also offered a job by them, but I was shattered by the figure mentioned in my offer letter. A job in Bangalore with a salary odd 30k a month. Many students took that job, but only God knows how one can survive with that amount in Bangalore. If I leave out TCS, there weren't many companies, and TCS ruled the placement party. I will not call it a party as it was against the dignity of labour. Therefore, the placements of the university were a little below par because they didn't invite many more companies who can give a fair value to the students they are hiring.

Hostel definitely was not my cup of tea as not just Gurugram, but the students who were staying in and around NCR were also not allowed for the hostels. To be fair, the outsider's ratio was less, but the university is well prepared as they have both boys' and girls' hostel of top quality. Having known a few people who stayed at the hostel, I can say that they all stayed with sanity for all four years at the hostels.

There were 10 buildings at the campus, as eight were departmental buildings and two admin buildings. Most of the buildings were identical, but thanks to the huge boards or placards that initially helped us locate our departmental building. The modernization features inside the buildings were amazing as technology has taken the world far, but this far was way over my head. From classrooms to the library, everything has been digitized. Also, the canteen was happy to take the payments digitally. For sports lovers, the university is a paradise. A fully dedicated sports complex has been built inside the campus. From cricket nets to two hard court tennis surfaces, the campus has all the sporting facilities for which people are paying lakhs of rupees to play. Therefore, I made a good use of it because I knew that at the later part of my life, I would only regret if I didn't use such brilliant sporting facilities.

If campus life isn't entertaining, it is safe to call it boring because entertainment plays a big role in refreshing our minds. Many entertaining clubs are available at the university who keeps entertaining the university crowd by singing and acting. One can join these groups at the university has made sure that students who have talent will be given a fair opportunity. So, for those who love to stay on the sidelines, the university is definitely not meant for them.
