IIT, Delhi : One of the Best Engineering Institutes in the Country

Overall Rating
IIT, Delhi is arguably the best engineering college in India. JEE top scorers are the ones who get admission here. For general category the fees can be called a little higher but for me it was mere 40k around. Scholarships are available for not just reserved category here but scholarships on merit are also awarded at IIT, Delhi.
 

Academics Rating
My score was probably isn’t that high to get IT streams but mechanical was always my second choice. If I count the labs including the newly set-up research labs, the number count can go till 50. Yes that many labs and course is such that even foreign universities source the course from IIT, Delhi.
 

Faculty Rating
Mechanical branch has the most experienced faculties and decades of experience have made them our heroes. People often question the credibility of the faculties but I would never do that. Yes they always want their noses in front and obviously with the amount of experience that they carry anybody would do that. Amid all that they always keep students interest front.
 

Placement Rating
For those who think mechanical engineers hardly get placements then they should check IIT Delhi's data. Not just consistent but getting placements worth 20 lakh or rather more isn't that tough here. L&T and Sail are the ones that gave maximum packages to the students and the list of engineering companies that comes to IIT Delhi is endless.
 

Hostel Rating
IIT Delhi is a resident campus and there are many hostels inside the campus. In all there are 2 messes and food may be little average but if we discard that part, out hostels have recreational rooms with many indoor sports. We have access to them all night and students are seen unwinding their tough days there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Before anything else one should just look at the location of the campus. Right in Delhi's heart the IIT Delhi is situated with a surface area of almost 300+ acres. In the acres of land that we have a beautiful garden right in front. Just where the garden ends the heritage IIT Delhi main block is there. Sports lovers can have the time of their life here as you name it and we have that sporting facility here.
 

Campus Rating
Students do look tired by lunch as classes mostly happen in the morning. On the days we have labs it goes on till evening. It's not that IIT means study, study, and study. We do have fun sessions and there many societies which anyone can be a part of. Last but not the least, yes IIT Bombay flaunts Mood Indigo more but our fest Renaissance is no less whatsoever.

    It is an amazing place to spend the best time of your life, while studying. You will have best brains around you. Hence, you can have excellent peer group. There is a best faculty and system not just for academics but also for sports. It has well-maintained grounds and courts for various sports, and swimming pool.     Overall, the institute is pretty worth it. The timetable of every student can be very busy but the time invested goes into various activities, results in the holistic development of the student. I chose this institution because of its good network as it is easier to connect to professionals in the field.     It’s been 6 months and till now it has been a great experience. It's totally different from JEE preparation. You get a lot of exposure which helps in your career growth. You also meet new people; some are good and there are possibilities that will make some really good friends.
