When I passed my JEE Mains exam, I had to choose institute for pursuing engineering. So while filling the counseling form, I put NIT Jalandhar on the top as per my ranking and past records. I found more than what I have heard about NIT Jalandhar. It is quite good infrastructure wise and placement wise and staff is also very supportive. With all this you can learn something about Punjabi culture in institute campus. Especially I want to mention about the institute guards are very good. Overall it was my pleasure to be in that reputed institute.

Academically, institute is quite good, if not in the only teaching sense but overall we can say this thing about institute. There are various programs for B.Tech namely - Computer Science, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Textile, Industrial Production, Metallurgy, Chemical, etc. and same goes with PG courses with special mention this institute also provide the humanities subject, MBA programs, etc. If we talk about entry requirements then you have to pass JEE Mains exam for UG courses and most probably gate exam for masters in respective branches. The main motive to enter in campus can vary from person to person.

In this sequence we also talk about faculty of NIT Jalandhar which will provide you thorough knowledge about the subjects in which you enrolled. Let's about Civil Engineering faculty: Teachers are well qualified in their respective fields like transportation, water supply, etc. and the minimum qualification which required to become teacher in NIT is PhD so you can assume that they are well versed in their courses. The teaching style of many teachers is fair enough and quite interesting but it cannot be said for all. With the class teachings the very important is labs where you can find all experiments which you learned in theory classes. And can find practical way of you knowledge.

Yes, we have a placement cell in our institute that's called TPO (Training and placement cell), which have its personal staff working solely for internship and placement type of work. Institute administration is also supportive for this cell so that everyone gets selected for placement. Many companies come to recruit students in their final years or more precisely from 7th semester onwards. Companies like Microsoft, L& T, Infosys, Tata, Reliance, etc. come on regular basis. Average Placement Civil Engineering: 6.5 LPA.

Yes, the institute has residential facility for almost all students except the local students. There are almost 11 to 12 hostels (namely hostel no. 1 to 8 and Mega hostels for boys and girls) in institute premises so that everyone can reside in institute hostels. Hostel Life is so good that you cannot imagine without residing there. Unfortunately my 2 years have been rushed by corona and I will regret for this my whole life. And one thing especially for girl’s one mega hostel has been constructed for girls only (1200 girls) and this was fantastic to live.

If we do thorough analysis of infrastructure of NIT Jalandhar then it seems to be good as compare to many institutes. It is outside the city area with pleasant environment inside the campus. There are many buildings in the campus itself like Adm block , gol building , It building, electrical building, Wse building, science building , Library buildings (2 buildings), gymnasium, civil department, canteens , sports building , ground for cricket, football, basket ball, volleyball, etc. All building is well equipped with AC and ventilation requirements.

Overall campus life is much good. Your journey in NIT will start from a quotation that "Smile you are in NIT Jalandhar". It says that you are good place. Let's talk about others things also like crowd is enough in institute after seat increased in 2021. There are many clubs in institute like dance club, music club, innovation club, etc. in which you can participate during your institute time. With all these there can be many fests in one year, mainly two Utkansh and Techniti. In the last you can participate in any sports activity in NIT Jalandhar fir your overall development.
