LSR: Best College for Women

Overall Rating
LSR has been a comfort place for me and I feel it will be for every woman even though there is academic pressure but the crowd you get here improves your overall personality and makes you a person with stronger mentally. People are going to different fields and pursuing their passion that inspires a lot, someone might be a dancer and someone else is a researcher. Your mentality will change and you will pursue the right career path for yourself that will not be confined within the boundaries of your family or conservative society.
 

Academics Rating
I myself got 770 in CUET and had Philosophy (Hons.) as my 6th preference, if I would have upgraded I might have got other courses but I was happy with this course only. For my session I needed CUET marks. Philosophy was a little less hectic department and was fun for me. I wanted to take Computer Science as GE that is why I chose Philosophy to pursue my other interests along with it.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of Philosophy is very good. Teachers are very cooperative and knowledgeable. They are strict at times but they don't limit their teaching in any boundaries. Philosophy is indeed a very intellectual subject and these teachers help the subject maintain its reputation. I have heard from other department students that their faculty is very hectic and it gives a lot of assignments and all but philosophy is not at all like this. They are chill and the assignments are limited and fun.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have placement cell and it is very productive. I won't say it is very beneficial for the Arts students but for technical fields you might get a placement for uptu 40 lakh and more. Even the summer internship opportunities that we get are around 1.5lakh per month (this is also for philosophy department).
 

Hostel Rating
I myself haven't lived in the hostel but I have heard reviews from the seniors. Hostel charges around 6-7k for a month and provides food along with rooms with double bed. The food is very good and bollywood nights and all are organized for recreational purposes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Other than rooms assigned for tutorials in the OLD building, the rooms are very spacious and good. Our Library has almost all the books available for academics and also books other than that which can be accessed through your library card only. All the buildings have lifts and the whole campus is very friendly even for people with disability, they won't ever feel excluded (Braille even on lifts for blinds, trails for people having to use wheelchair, etc.). The canteen is also very good with affordable healthy and fast food options.
 

Campus Rating
I don't personally go to many fests that are held in college but overall fests are decent. The crowd is decent and good. The societies on the other hand are good but they are not good for freshers, they won't teach you anything and will only give you exposure if you already have the skill like dancing, painting, singing, etc. Some societies are good but not much exposure is provided for people who want to learn something new.

    Lady Shri Ram College for Women is India one of the topmost colleges. The college is fine as it lies in South Delhi. It provides good placement opportunities. Infrastructure and classes are great. Library is fully furnished and equipped with books and AC’s. Proper labs are provided to students. Cafe and canteen are affordable with different menu options.
