Better Academic Experience in MU, Aligarh

Overall Rating
Overall experience is so good in Mangalayatan University and academics are rewarding. Campus life is engaging and there are ample opportunities for students to grow both personally and professionally. While there are challenges such as mandatory 75% attendance, the positives, such as good infrastructure, make it a strong choice for students choosing this university.
 

Academics Rating
The academic experience at this university is generally balanced. The curriculum is designed as per old education system but overall it is good and proves fruitful for the long term. Exams are conducted two times per semester and internal exams (minor) carry much weightage. All the things related to academics including professors, classes, exams and labs are well designed in the university by the management. It’s up to the students to use them well to have bright future or let them slip away.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at my university is engaging and highly supportive. Most of the professors are willing to help students outside the class, involving us in researches, and many type of extra activity. They providing students with ample of opportunities to connect in their fields and bringing real world experiences. All the faculties’ teaching style is so good and always suggests good learning material.
 

Placement Rating
The placement at my university is average. Although there is a big placement cell. Many companies come during campus drive but generally offer average package.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels in our university are too good. Initially, there were two hostels inside the campus premises, one for girls and other for boys. However, increase in number of students has led management to open ‘New Boy’s Hostel’ inside the campus and rent another hostel outside the campus. Hostel life is a mix of excitement and dreariness. One can have all the fun in the hostel with friends but restrictions are applied after 9 PM. Gates of hostels get closed and we can’t go outside or anyone’s room after this time (this is generally to avoid unnecessary fights).
 

Infrastructure Rating
The buildings in the campus are overall modern (in terms of facilities) and well maintained. The architectural style is average. The classes are however very spacious and outfitted with modern teaching aids such as smart-boards, projectors, etc. Wi-Fi of the campus is also good. Libraries and computers labs are well equipped, providing students with access to online resources for course and many other type of books are also available. Food options are good. We have cafeteria and café in campus premises.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at my university is good. There numerous student organizations, clubs and activities and more cultural groups like music club, dance club, etc. The social scene is active and university is organizing events from time to time. Cultural fests like ‘Daksh’ and ‘Atharva’ also happen on a regular basis. In Atharva, university invited singer Indeep Bakshi, last year.

I chose this specific university because one of the alumni was my friend's elder brother who has a stable career and he gave me valuable insights of university that intrigued me.     Mangalayatan University was founded in year 2006 and it is recognized by the University Grant Commission. My experience in the institute was overall good and one thing that can be changed about the college is the college culture because this college is zero in term of college culture there are no fest happen in the college.
