IIIT Una has lush green campus. Good hostel facilities are available with separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess. Food quality is good. Additionally, there are facilities for Gym and Music room. Sufficient amount of sport equipment are available with playgrounds for football, cricket and volleyball. Courts are available for badminton and tennis. Indoor facilities are also available (carom, table tennis, etc). Traveling to the station and main market takes 15 minutes, but the main institute is in the outskirts of the Una city.

Compared to other institute's academics is slightly pressure giving. But the new system has relieved some of the academic pressure. Academics syllabus is quite good but the traditional practices like file making add redundancy to the academics. Two new specialization courses CS (Cyber Security) and CS (Data Science) have been added to the curriculum i.e. now there are 5 branches CSE, IT, ECE, CS (Cyber security) and CS (Data Science).

Faculties are decent, and some are really excellent for their teaching methods. Course is taught as per the industry needs. Most of the higher academic faculties are qualified, some have excelled in GATE exam (AIR 47) and one of them have got multiple research papers getting published in his name under world's top 2% scientists. They hold great knowledge although they might not be able to deliver it properly.

The previous year placement stats are: Highest placement was 32 LPA while the lowest was 6 LPA. Average package was around 10 LPA. Last to last year (Batch 2023) the highest package was 60 LPA while the average for the batch stood at 15 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, LinkedIn, BharatPe, Deloitte, Expedia, Apache, Jio, etc.

Hostels are well and good with all the facilities. There are 3 floors for residing with 18 rooms on each floor. Rooms are cleaned by caretakers one day in a week. Hostel attendance is taken at night to ensure each student is present at the campus. 2 bathrooms are provided on each floor. 2 washing machines are ready for use in each hostel. Girls reside in the same hostel as boys but have got a protected and monitored partition.

Various facilities are provided, like Wi-Fi and Labs with modern and latest PC systems. We also have received new AR and VR labs for promoting research in these booming fields. Buildings are better than NITs and IITs because of the fact that the institute is not very old. A canteen, medical aid facilities are present in the campus. Besides, there is a gym and music room too. A branch of SBI is opened in the institute itself and an ATM machine has been installed on the institute gate to facilitate students with financial needs.

Campus Life is quite good. There are three fests: Meraki (Tech Fest) where All the coding, electronics and fun based quizzes, debates and hackathons take place, Mridang (Cultural Fest) which consists of activities like Star Night, Idiom Night, Cultural performances, Talent showcase and Modelling, etc. Yalgaar (Sports Fest) is much awaited by the students as provides opportunity to showcase talents in sports.
