A review on the academics and placements at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology

Overall Rating
Overall, the college is good in terms of academics. Even though our college is an Autonomous college, the college can design the syllabus and provide various skill-based training. College has relaxed uniform policy and students can wear whatever they want. Workshops and extra credit courses are part of the curriculum.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are pretty good if we compare it to other colleges of greater Noida. We are provided with Coursera courses and have to do Infosys workshop. These come with extra credits and are very helpful in skill building. College has a system of semester wise workshop where we have training for a technology for a period of time.
 

Faculty Rating
Overall quality of faculty is ok. They have good education background as many of them are alumni of renowned institutes of India. They are very helpful and will try their best to sort out your problem doesn't matter if it is academic or not. They are talented and know their subject.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are kind of average. Many things are dependent on CGPA so we have to maintain it.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are not up to the mark.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College infrastructure is quite old as it was inaugurated in 2001. Work is being done to improve the infrastructure and new lifts and buildings are under construction. College has modern labs that are dedicated to specific technologies in the market. From 3d printers to modern computer labs, our college has it all.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here is not that great as there are a lot of restrictions. From mandatory workshop to 75 percent attendance criteria, the college is very strict in this regard. Students get barred from examinations if they don't meet the criteria of 75 percent mandatory attendance.

    NIET college is good for skills development, as there are various interesting extracurricular activities which develop skills in a student. They mainly focus on Speaking skills as it is very important to improve our vocabulary skills as MNC hires those employees who have proper knowledge of communication and knowledge of how to interact with people.     Strong placement record, experienced faculties, Clean Environment, transportation services are also very good. One of the best Institutes that I have seen in Greater Noida. There are lots of fests organized in this Institute and the students are also nice. They come from a very good family background.     NIET is a good institute when it comes to placements. Admission in NIET is mainly done through AKTU counseling and courses are allotted through the JEE rank. The first year fee submitted in the institute during admission was 179000 rupees, which includes tuition fee, exam fee, student welfare charges and many more. In addition, the institute hostel charges are different based on AC/Non AC. the hostel fee for 4 seater is 93600 rupees. For fees waivers, it is 60000 for first year and 40000 from th...     I think the NIET has both pros and cons. If I talk about the cons first -: if you are expecting that you are going to live a college life with bunch of fun activities then no, you are at a different place. The campus is not too big, if you are thinking that you can manage by not attending regular classes then you are wrong they have a strict attendance criteria of 85%.
