Overall Rating
Techno Main Salt Lake is very old college which is established in 2001. This college is one of the finest colleges in Kolkata. This college has good placement and has strong alumni network. The college takes admission on the basis of WBJEE exam rank. Last year cutoff for CSE (AI-ML) was 11k.
 

Academics Rating
If you have given WBJEE exam and have good rank then you can get CSE and specialisation here. The total fee of the college is 6.05L for 4 years. At the time of the admission 80k will be charged and after this 75k will be charged each semester. There are also some additional charges like Registration fees i.e. 2.7k, examination fees, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of this college are very qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. Senior teachers are Ph.D holders from NIT and have lots of experience of around 20-25 years and junior teachers are pursuing Ph.D having experience of 4-5 years. Faculties give us more practical knowledge than theory which makes a student industry ready.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in the college and it is very active. Due to its very strong alumni network it provides good number of opportunities to students. Last year the highest package was from CSE which was 45LPA and the average package was 6LPA. Top recruiter companies were TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Reliance, Infosys, and many start-ups.
 

Hostel Rating
No, the college does not have its own hostel but it has tie ups with some hostels which costs around 7.5k per month and provides two times food for 5 days and on weekends it provide 3 times food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College's infrastructure is so average. The campus is too small in size which is in around 3-4 acres. College has two small grounds where students can play football and cricket like games. College has rich labs, rich libraries but ACs are not available in classes which is very disappointing. In indoor games we have very less number of options like chess, carrom and table tennis.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good. Diversity in the college is low because here 90% of students belong to Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. There are so many clubs in the college like technical club called Samarth, cultural club called Ankoorans or sports club called Technootkarsh and many more. The cultural club of the college organizes many fests. One of them is Anachronos which is one of the biggest cultural fest of Kolkata. In past years many celebrities came here like Harrdy Sandhu, Monali Thakur, and Shilpa Rao.

    TMSL is situated in Salt Lake, Sector V wherein students come from various locations. TMSL provides many courses (B.Tech, BBA, BCA, BHM, BMS, Diploma and Polytechnic courses).     I joined Techno Main Salt Lake in the academic year 2023. My department is B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Right from my school days, I knew that this college has an excellent college because of its academic record along with innumerable co-curricular activities. There are various departments in our college like B.Tech (multiple branches), BCA, Hospitality Management, etc. There are various clubs in college where you can get multiple opportunities and get to know many people.     Always want to study Business I came across the advertisement of Techno Main one day. And since then I wished to take admission there. Being affiliated to MAKAUT it conducted an online admission test based on which the admission was to be done. After paying all the fees and doing all the formalities, the test was conducted.
