KIIT is one of the private institutes you can consider if you don't get IITs, NITs, IIITs or any State Government Institute. Main reason for choosing this institute was affordability, the location, and also facilities. Also, there is such a good environment here for living in a very pleasant weather. Its tuition fee is high, but the hostel and mess fee are quite low. Tuition fees are Rs. 2 lakhs per semester for CSE branch and for others it is Rs. 1.75 lakhs to Rs. 1.9 lakhs. And you have to also pay Rs. 75,000/- one time in entire degree duration which includes registration fees, books and also laptop which is provided by institute itself. The laptop provided is quite good and its worth is somewhere around 1 lakh so overall fee is quite low than others.

I am currently in the CSE department. Admission in this particular institute is not that hard. The entry requirement is to qualify in KIITEE exam and score at least 60% in 12th boards. To get admission in the CSE branch you should get rank around 4000. Enroll in this course if you can work hard by yourself although teachers are there to guide you.

There are plenty of good teacher here and they are always available to guide if you give respect to them. Some of them are from NITs and few are from IITs and good numbers of them are among the top 5% researchers of the world. Their teaching styles are little bit modernized; they talk about different things revolving around the topic to keep you interested in the topic which sometimes may get boring.

Yes, we do have a Placement Cell in our institute that brings good number of company and ensures that most of the students get placed. There are several internship programs that are organized by them but the most famous among students is Summer Internship Program that is organized during summer break of almost 2 months so you can make most out of it rather than sitting idle. If you want to acquire job as soon as placement drive starts, try putting in efforts by yourself rather than being dependent on the placement cell and for getting a dream package you should pay attention on yourself in the class and outside class in studies and personality development.

KIIT does provide hostel to its students of every course and if you don't want to opt for hostel you can also live outside as paying guest. Hostel also provides mess facility to its students. Let me tell you about fees of hostel. Rs. 28,000 per semester is charged for a 3 bedded non-AC room, Rs. 50,000 per semester for a 3 bedded AC room, Rs. 40,000 per semester for a 2 bedded non-AC room, and Rs. 60,000 per semester for a 2 bedded AC room. In addition to this, you also have to pay Rs. 15,000 as onetime hostel admission fees and if you want attached bathroom you have to pay extra Rs. 10,000. If you are staying in hostel you have to opt for mess since its compulsory and the mess charges are Rs. 23,000 per semester regardless of which hostel you opt for. The hostels’ infrastructure is quite good as all the rooms are properly ventilated, but it is not designed to dry your clothes after washing. You can opt for laundry service that is going to cost you around Rs. 5,000 per year. Mess food served in the boys’ hostel is average and for girls it is quite good, especially their snacks menu. There are some restrictions i.e. attendance is taken at 7:00 pm, main gate closes at 6:30 pm, and delivery can only be taken before 10:00 pm. Gathering in rooms are not allowed after 10:00 pm, and much more but after some time it is relaxed unofficially. Wardens here are sometimes strict otherwise they understand your concern. Other facilities include:
room cleaning is done every day, deep cleaning of the room is done every Sunday; washrooms are cleaned 3 to 4 times a day. Mugs, bucket, mattress, two sets of single bed sheet, blanket, spoon and cup is provided to each hosteller. Most of things are provided here in hostel you only have to bring your personal things and move in.

Infrastructure is one of the main features of KIIT as it quite good but is not a vehicle free campus. Building and facilities of KIIT is scattered and most of the places are not accessible. To use other facilities of the institute such as central library, indoor stadium, placement cell and sometimes even hostel you have to cross the main road. But at that same main road you will find everything from food chains to regular food stalls, malls to small shops and also stationary shops. Academic Block is the most beautiful building. Amenities such as ticket booking counter, small shops for basic needs and stationery are available in KIIT campus. There are many sports facilities available in campus and many athletes in Paris Olympics 2024 were from KIIT.

Campus life is too good here as there are many things to do but, in less time, so it doesn't let you get bored. There are many grounds nearby every hostel where you can play with your friends. Also, there are many gardens and most famous rose garden where you spend time with your friends. There are many clubs which covers every sector such as dancing, singing, writing, content creation etc. Fests are happening most of the time in the institute. Jamming session, hip pop and content creation is happening most of time at many places in the institute, especially in the MBA garden. Crowd is too good here and also, they are not noisy and judgmental. One of the problems is that you cannot access sports facilities after 7:00 pm and the only thing you can do is play badminton in your hostel premises.
