Honest review on Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bangalore

Overall Rating
This university is well-known throughout India, thanks to Amma Amritanandhamayadevi. Our chancellor had started this institution in several locations throughout India and it has provided excellent results in terms of education and placement opportunities. The campus in Bangalore is widely spread in 150 acres and has a spectacular view inside the campus.
 

Academics Rating
I chose the course B.Tech in (R & AI) which is Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering. It’s a core course in Mechanical Engineering which is said to be very popular with the upcoming improvement in AI and Robotics. It’s a collection of all departments viz. CSE, EEE, ECE and ME. The eligibility criteria for taking admission is quite simple; you require a passing average percentage in 12th and a good score in AEEE conducted by the university.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are all scholars with Ph.D and specialisation in their subjects and others as well. Their teaching styles are very good. They conduct regular practical classes, quizzes, and tests. They recommend us different reference books for exams that are available in the vast library and create understandable PowerPoint presentations for us to easily study for the exam slots.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell and instructors are present in our campus. They conducted a session for first year students regarding the placement chart in the university and how we can consult them regarding any doubts or internships for future references.
 

Hostel Rating
We do have hostel facilities here. There are 3 hostel blocks for boys and 1 for girls. All the accommodation arrangements are made by the university with in-store facilities such as canteens, parks, gyms and a ground to play.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university is known for its infrastructure. It has a gorgeous Main Block made of white stone and a huge picture of a scene from Mahabharatam at the front. It even has a garden view park, fountains, crown footpaths and overall, 2 buildings with 5 blocks in it. It has 2 separate buildings for canteen; one inside the campus and the other near the boys’ hostel.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is great here and with its central location, it’s surrounded by malls, metro station, and a nice ambiance to be in. The university conducts lots of fests regularly mostly based on the festivals like Dushehra, etc. There are 49 clubs in the university (technical and non-technical) that participate in these fests and conduct Diwali celebrations.

    Overall Rating
    This college has a very good infrastructure and placements are of course good. I am in third year now. At first I thought my college life would be restricted by watching uniform and all as that is not normal in engineering colleges but later I understood it is not an issue.
