My overall experience at Kirorimal College, University of Delhi has been good till now. It has a diverse set of students from all streams - Commerce, Science and Arts. It has a good crowd though it is politically active. It is situated in North Campus. You can easily sign up for events happening in the nearby colleges and take part there. You'll get to interact with other people. The College’s back gate opens in Kamala Nagar. So, you can find PGs nearby. It was in my top 5 preference list.

I am a Commerce student here. The entry requirement for any course at Kirorimal College is CUET. While filling the CUET form, you can also apply for ECA and Sports quota. To be eligible for CUET you need to have passed class 12th, and every course may have specific eligibility requirements. For example, for B.Com Hons., you need to have 3 domains and 1 language; and one of those domains should be Accountancy / Bookkeeping / Mathematics. Mathematics is compulsory for Economics Hons. As a Commerce student, I had a preference for Kirorimal College as it's good for Commerce and has good placement record and crowd.

The faculty is really good. Most of the professors actually teach during the class and they are very helpful. They are open to doubt solving and discussions. They are keen to teach. My favorite professor is Sir Luk Ram. He's from Zoology department. Even though I am from Commerce department, I have a SEC class in his department. Ornamental Fish Culture, it's a SEC subject taught in DU which was devised by him. His work in this field has been on news too. So, you're going to learn from renowned faculties like him.

‘Avenues’ is the Placement Cell of Kirorimal College. It is truly amazing. It has secured 5th rank nationwide in Placements & Career Progression as per India Today College Rankings 2024. As per the 2024 Placement Record, the highest package is 23.05 LPA, Average package is 10.05 LPA and Median Package is 6.67 LPA. Total 172 students were placed. The Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities. It provided 1250+ internship opportunities in 2024 with an average aggregated stipend of Rs. 32,740. They also conduct sessions and workshops on topics like CV building for preparing students for placements.

Kirorimal College only has boys’ hostel that too has limited seats.

The infrastructure is average. There is a Main Block, then Science Block and Arts Block. There are various sports amenities too. The auditorium used to host cultural activities or big events should be upgraded. There is a seminar room and academic auditorium for hosting smaller events, seminars and workshops. Big events are conducted in Ashoka Lawn which is huge. Basic facilities are available like science labs, canteen, library, medical room, sports, girls’ common room, gym, ATM and wellness centre (mental health service).

Campus life is decent. If the infrastructure was more updated, then it would have been better. The crowd is good. There are all types of societies here like all the cultural ones and the non-cultural ones too. People are passionate and devoted towards what they do. You'll find a good crowd in the societies; and you'll get a lot of opportunities to learn from the people in those societies. For example - 180 degrees Consulting KMC has a good crowd, and it hosts Asia's largest consulting fest. Apart from that, there are other societies too that do-good work and organises a lot of exposure giving activities and competitions for the students.
