My life at IIT Bombay is quite different from what I used to think during my JEE preparation but it's just way more interesting than my expectations. When you talk about exposure in your life, IIT Bombay has given me all! One year at this college has made me realize my real potential and passion. For me life at IIT is balanced and that's what I prefer that you have lot of things to explore, enjoy and learn. The other most beautiful aspect is interaction and connection you are set establish with seniors, alumni and you batchmates.

My personal opinion is that academics are not hectic comparatively and you can balance it while doing other things. IIT Bombay is not very rigid and very much oriented towards your degree but it allows you to get the taste and even allow to excel in the domains other than your own course. After first year you can get involved in other programs through taking minors, electives, ALC (additional learning courses) and many other initiatives.

Talking about the faculty members then I won't exaggerate but professors here are just awesome. In terms of qualifications, they all are brilliant but other than this there high will to teach, ready to do experiment and considering nature is what most important which make them best. I have my personal experience when I didn't have laptop, but it was required for a project, and I discussed this with one of the professor, to my surprise he didn't take a moment but gave his laptop to me for two months.

Yes, we have placement cell. Placement cell is well structured including company, interview and internship coordinators, also Department placement coordinator and others including Dean professors also. Since I am in my second year and not being exposed to these things yet, I might not be able to review them accurately.

Yes, we have that. talking about the facility that hostel provides is a decent one. We have washing machines, dryers, showers in bathroom and western toilets. Provided that having a huge strength of students maintaining these facilities is also hard nut but they have managed it very well. Hygiene is also maintained up to a standard level but taste is not that good and at times some meals are worst and sometimes best, so overall average meal is provided.

In infrastructure the buildings including lecture halls, department buildings, seminar halls, hostels (excluding some boys hostels) all are well furnished, maintained with a decent aesthetics. and all other basic amenities are also there. IIT Bombay has a body which works for zero carbon emission buildings and recently made a structure which takes care about the sustainability.

Campus life is the beautiful aspect of your stay here. No need to describe but Mood Indigo, Asia's largest cultural festival, and Techfest, E-summit these are the intercollege fest of IIT Bombay and interestingly the students themselves ideate the events and execute them. Other than that there are Clubs for cultural, tech and other non-core things like finance, consult and business.
