My Life in SIMATS Engineering

Overall Rating
I am proud to be a student of SIMATS, Chennai. The environment is so good and friendly. As a student my overall experience at the institute has been largely positive, though with some areas for improvement. The professors are generally approachable and supportive, often willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. The campus life is vibrant, with a wide range of clubs, sports and student organization to get involved in, providing a great balance between academics and extracurricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
The academic experience at the campus is robust and provides students with a wide array of learning opportunities. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, offering both core and elective courses that cater to diverse academic interests and career goals, allowing students to explore connections between fields, which enhance critical thinking and innovations.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at the institute is one of the strongest assists, contributing significantly to the academic and personal growth of the student. Most of the professors are highly qualified, not only in terms of academic credentials but also bringing practical, real-world experience into the classroom. They are often passionate about the subjects and encourage the students.
 

Placement Rating
The placement support at the institute is well-structured and provides valuable resources for the students seeking to transition into workforce. The CGPA should be maintained above 8.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are separated for both girls and boys. However, only first year and second year students are allowed to stay in the hostel due to the maximum strength of the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the institute plays a crucial role in shaping the overall student experience. The campus is well designed and modern lecture halls equipped with advanced technology, including smart boards and multimedia capabilities, which enhance the learning environment. The classrooms are air conditioned which helps during summer. In our institute, we have different buildings names which belongs to different departments.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at the institute is vibrant and engaging, offering students a rich array of activities and opportunities for personal growth outside the classroom. Most of the clubs conducted by the faculties and some of the clubs conducted by the senior students. Cultural fest is organized once in a year which is fantastic.

    SIMATS is out of all other engineering Institutes and they are well known for hands on learning methodology. SSE focuses heavily on project based learning, which helps students gain practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge. Faculty members are approachable and helpful.     Firstly I would like to say that entire college has a good infrastructure. The education system here is a bit different from other colleges and is easier for a student to study without any pressure. This college almost has every course which you can choose according to your specification. The student can easily join this college with passing marks without any ranks but to be honest the fees is a bit high. The canteens here serve delicious food.     So, I will be honest, the thing which made me more attracted to this university is there flexible education system as well as the mou's. They also have inbuilt lab where you can learn as well as have practical education. They do give more importance to practical knowledge instead of theoretical knowledge.... Read Full Review

    I choose this college because of its excellent reputation for placements but what really drew me in was the focus on fostering knowledge and skills in the students. I know that only those who genuinely understood the material and zone experience would succeed in the long run.
