Campus size is 67 acres, and it is located near the Dal Lake surrounded by mountains with fantasizing natural beauty. The campus has a pleasant and suitable environment for the students with experienced teachers and a well-maintained campus. We are supported and encouraged to participate in sports and other co-curricular activities.

I am enrolled in the B.Des Course specializing in Metallurgic and Materials Engineering since 2021. One should have a good rank in JEE Mains and 75% marks in class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to join this institute. My overall motive to join this institute was to get a deep knowledge and best experience in learning about the material and its properties.

Faculty members of this institute are well educated. 7 faculty members got a rank among top 2% scientists in all over the world. Faculties are very helpful and are always ready to guide the students individually and build their interest in the design sector. Few faculty members are very strict.

Placement is provided on the basis of institute’s NIRF Ranking. The average package is around Rs. 8-9 LPA and lowest package is Rs. 6 LPA. The highest package is 46 LPA. The placement percentage is good and almost 78-80% students are placed on campus and rest of the students prefer to pursue higher studies.

Hostel facilities are average. The location of the institute is very good and is parallel to the hostel. The institute provided a single room last year on the basis of CGPA.

Infrastructure is good here; almost all the facilities are available for students as well as teachers. All the departments have separate clubs, for example, I'm in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department so this department has a club name is Dhatu Mitra which conducts material related events.

Campus life is good and very enjoyable. The institute encourages the students to participate in the inter - NIT tournament and also conducts various fests like Techvaganza, Rang-e-Chinar which is certainly the largest cultural fest of Jammu and Kashmir state. Overall, campus life is good, and this institute’s gender ratio is also good.
