The institute fulfills every requirement of students and living up to the name of an IIT with ranking among top 7 Engineering Institutes of India. I love everything here, from academics to library to Cultural fests. The institute is the best. I chose old IIT's non-circuital branch over new IIT's circuital branch and I am proud of my decision.

The new curriculum has been launched by the institution which is just perfect to make one earn maximum output from the courses itself. Even to non-circuital branches, courses like Data Structures and Algorithms are being taught which are very useful for placements and internships. The academic office has enforced a feedback system (twice every semester) to ensure smooth functioning from the professor’s side as feedback involves the faculty ratings and other questions to every student which are unanimous.

The professors are highly educated holding Ph.D and post doctorate degrees from foreign universities. They are always open to students regarding their academic doubts and general mentorship towards life. They have their office in their respective departments and students can have conversation with them at any point of time.

The placement is damn good. Everyone gets a good placement with very high packages even till 60 LPA and some even offering 90 LPA. It also provides internships to the students.

The hostels I will say are average. The mess food quality is different for different hostels. Every hostel is called Bhawan and they are names like Rajeev, Sarojini, Kasturba, and Govind Bhawans. Every bhawan has its own celebration (in a year) which is not less than a party. A lot of performances, party food and music at night. Also, intra-bhawan cultural as well as tech events are organized from time to time to keep up the spirits of the hostlers.

Every department has its own building and its laboratories for students learning. But we have two common lecture halls also named after Gargi and APJ Abdul Kalam Block's Lecture Hall Complex as old and new respectively. The lecture halls are fully AC. The institute has its own library in digital form also with 4 floors in it, basement, ground floor, first floor and second floor which is fully AC and in exam days which is 24×7 open with a large set of books available ranging from academics to history learning books. The library is situated just near the lecture halls.

It has many clubs ranging from tech as well as cultural, from Drama to Choreography, from fine arts to music section, from software development society to block chain society and entrepreneurship cell to design studio. Every club has it’s own legacy and its events which are organized every year.
