Genuine opinion on Purvanchal Institute of Dental Sciences, Gorakhpur

Overall Rating
This institute is the only Dental Institute in UP's Purvanchal. The campus is lush green with a huge cricket and football ground. This institute has a good OPD count. Students get a good training and exposure while studying here.
 

Academics Rating
I am a student of BDS course. Students after this course can be called Dental Professionals and can open their own clinic or can join hospital in private or Government sector. Students need to get qualifying marks in NEET. The teachers are highly qualified and trained. They have wonderful teaching skills. Learning from them is fun. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant. It makes students to flourish in Dental Sciences. The semester exams are neither easy nor difficult is you study regularly. The pass percentage of my batch was almost 90%.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are highly educated and experienced in teaching. They make learning tough topics easier for us through their teaching skills. They are supportive towards their students.
 

Placement Rating
It's a Dental Institute so students get trained and receive a good clinical exposure in this institute and gain confidence. They can further open their own clinic or can join hospital in both public and private sector.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities are average but are clean. It is quite decent as per the hostel fee charged from us. Meals are provided three times and snacks are also served. There is huge playground and a badminton court.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The facilities and infrastructure are decent with well-maintained departments having just the right number of instruments and lab equipments. The lecture halls are air-conditioned. The departments have a lot of facilities for patients with clean and well-ventilated seating area.
 

Campus Rating
Institute organises fest every year which consist of both Cultural and Sports Activities. The campus life is peaceful. It is located outside the main city. No markets or malls are nearby. The transportation is good, but the city is 15kms from the institute.
