I was pre-determined to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. This is where Vellore Institute Of Technology came into the scene. Genuinely saying that in my opinion this Institute has many Competitors (many old established Private Engineering Institutes). Being a Private Engineering Institute, its students have made tremendous achievements in the past years. Being specific about Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, the Institute has been Winner and Runner up in a lot of National Competitions like E CELL IIT Bombay, Smart India Hackathon (SIH), and other Competitive Programming Competitions and some even International Events. Its Chennai campus is of 192 Acres with lush greenery VIT has very hygienic mess and hostels. Complete VIT, Chennai Campus has Biometric Scanners, so as to ensure safety of all the students. The Clubs here are well developed and organize events every now and then. You get innumerable opportunities to showcase your talent and explore and learn in the environment. To sum up, going to this college won't be a regret for a student who is ambitious to learn and explore the Engineering field and become industry ready and compatible for the Ongoing AI Era.

VIT, Chennai provides admissions to the programs of B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Tech-5years (Integrated with M.Tech), BCA, MCA, BBA, BA.LLB, LLB, B.Sc., M.Sc, and Ph.D in various Subjects like Economics, Agriculture, and likewise. For getting admission, students are required to write VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination) for B.Tech and M.Tech courses of various Engineering Disciplines and for other courses student can get updates from its official website www vit.ac.in. The only eligibility for all the programs to get enrolled in VIT, Chennai is minimum 60% in all the respective subjects individually in their Class 12, and for Engineering Students it is additional to have a minimum aggregate 75% in Class 12 of their respective Boards.

Each of the faculties teaching in VIT, Chennai are well qualified, almost all have done Ph.D’s and are enrolled in some research work. If you are unaware about the fact that there are some senior faculties who are in the world's top 2% in scientist’s category such as Professor L. John Kennedy in the field of materials and many more such senior faculties.

It is a big "YES" that VIT, Chennai has a placement Cell which assists the students in acquiring jobs and a lot of good companies are regular visitor to the campus for both placements and internship opportunities, but more or less it completely relies upon the student's intelligence, their willingness to do hard-work.

The Chennai Campus has Block A, B, C, D1 and D2 Hostels each one having 17 floors with almost 47 rooms on each floors. The Hostel is well equipped with Fire Safety Alarms and Fire Extinguisher for any emergency situations that may arise. There are a total of 6 Elevators in each Hostel with 3 on Left side and 3 on the other hand running on the basis of odd and even floors. As far as I know my hostel C Block Boys Hostel has 2 messes of different catering services namely SRRC and Zenith mess, each with availability of Veg., Non-Veg. and Special Mess criterion. The bathrooms and toilets are common on each floor, equipped with well maintained geysers, and everything is kept with proper hygiene and they are washed twice daily by the cleaning staff .On each floor, there are 24 Bathrooms and 24 Toilets respectively.
Each Floor has two Drinking Water filters each having cold, warm and Normal water taps, so that there is no need of bringing electric kettle or so for boiling water. Note that bringing heavy electric items like kettle, printer, scanner, speaker, iron are strictly prohibited in the Hostels and there are fines on the student who is found using them in the hostels, as they themselves provide iron and iron area to the students 24×7 hours.

The campus has almost 4 Academic Blocks (AB) and the fourth one is currently under construction, but it’s Ground and first floors are operational. The campus has a clock tower where usually fresher’s and seniors students meet up occurs. The Central Library of our College is of 6 floors and well equipped with AC (Air Conditioners) and there are (4×2) sockets on each table with a capacity of six to be seated together. There is MG (Mahatma Gandhi) Auditorium inaugurated back in 2020 by the then Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani, which has complete AC (Air Conditioners) and can occupy a maximum of around 3000 people. Additionally, each of the Academic Block has its own Auditorium for assisting the various club events that occur every now and then in the college. On the pathways, you will find overhead tin sheds for hot sunny days and to evade rains occurring accidentally here as VIT, Chennai is near the coastline only and it is just 35 kms from the famous Mahabalipuram Beach.

One can easily see the multi-disciplinary cultural gatherings and the students from every State and Zone of India coming to this marvelous institute for education. The students get an extremely good exposure, which helps in overall Personality Development and Growth both in socializing and interactive manner.
