My overall experience about this institute is average. The faculty is the reason why I chose this institute. It has really good academics.

BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology gives admission through WBJEE, JEE Mains and JELET (for lateral entry). Students have to be under specific rank to get into the college, when I got into the college, my rank was 13000 in WBJEE and the cutoff was up to 25000 for CSE department. I chose this college because of the teaching staff and location.

The faculty is really good. They are highly qualified and good in nature. The try to help us in every aspect. Their style of teaching is satisfactory. The CSE faculty is the best faculty of our institute.

The placements are average in BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. The average package is about 4 LPA. Last year, the highest placement offered was about 13 LPA. The placements were better during pre-pandemic era but have decreased in the recent times.

Yes, the institute provides residential facilities. However, the management needs to improve the quality of facilities in the hostels. Food, cleanliness, etc. are not up to the mark.

The institute is quite compact in size. It has three blocks, which are A, B and C blocks. There are 2 libraries, one in A block and another in C block. There is also a common room situated in C block. Students spend their free time in this room. The institute has one student canteen in C block and one staff canteen in A block.

The campus life is average. The fest named ‘Elixir’ is organized in every four years. The sports event takes place every year which includes cricket, basketball, football, handball, chess and many more games.
