My overall journey at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology

Overall Rating
I took Electronics and Communication Engineering and I must say the college is pretty nice. They will try to teach you unlike other colleges just conducting events and not at all teaching anything. There will be both studying and extracurricular activities if you are interested. The staff is nice except some of them like any other college.
 

Academics Rating
The fees are pretty high as compared to other institutes. As of other branches such as CSE and CSE specialization it's even higher. For getting admissions you must have more that 60 percent in 12th and pass the SAEEE exam which is the entrance criteria for the institute. Except that you can also enroll through management quota which will cost extra money.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is good (most of them). The entire faculty is having Ph.D in specific courses. Unlike most colleges the faculty will try to complete the syllabus and give you notes and important topics. The labs classes are also good and will provide you with practical knowledge in addition to theatrical knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
The placements at my institute are pretty good. Most of the students take admission here because of the placements. They will provide you training from second semester itself. There will be placement classes but for that you need to pay extra money.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are overpriced. AC and non AC rooms both are available inside the hostel. The food is nice. There are 5 people in 1 room for non AC rooms and two attached washrooms. The cleaning is done on alternate days.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very nice except the drainage. There will be water logging if it rains for a long time. The blocks are good and the classrooms are grand. There is free bus service for the students. There is a big library which has much study material and you can take whichever book you want. There is a big canteen as well which will be very crowded during lunch times.
 

Campus Rating
College life is pretty average. There are events and clubs but due to very strict attendance criteria and strictness in campus you won't be able to participate in many events. The crowd is mostly from Tamil Nadu and Andhra with some fellows of North India and Kerala. There are cultural and technical fests yearly which are pretty grand and they call some big celebs as the chief guest. Overall the campus life is pretty average here.

    My overall experience at institute was good and I have chosen this university because of its placements and quality of education. This is the university where if you study well then your career and future will be well and good or else students will be get into groups, fights and also habituated to drinking and smoking outside the premises. At first I heard this institute is famous for its food and fests.
