Life in HIT

Overall Rating
The campus of HIT is big and beautiful with amazing architecture and greenery too.
 

Academics Rating
The course is similar to other Engineering institutes. Institute has 3 Internal and 1 External exam each semester. You have to give WBJEE exam for entry in this institute or you can reach out to the management for management quota. Eligible for this institute is to have ranked under 10k in WBJEE then only you can make it to this institute.
 

Faculty Rating
The professors are very friendly and supportive throughout course. They provide you all the essential information regarding subjects, projects and placement too. You can as for their help any time in studies. All of them highly qualified like M.Tech and Ph.D graduated and have good knowledge of subject and industry too.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is T&P cell for placements in this institute. This cell helps you to enhance your technical skills as well as grow self confidence. The campus placement rate is approximately 85 to 90 % and all the companies well known MNCs and industries come for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the institute provides hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the institute is very beautiful and the main building is symbol of four pillars. Institute has big library in the campus which is huge and rounded buildings and have thousands of books for students. Overall the campus is big and stunning with so much greenery and has play grounds for all the sports. Classes are big with all the essentials like smart class, AC, etc. There is a canteen, restaurant, shop and gym too in the campus for hostlers.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good and chilling. People are very chilling in nature and very interactive. There are many clubs in the campus for dance, music, coding, IEEE, ISTE and many more. Institute organizes two main fests called Riviera: a cultural fest and Prayukti: a tech fest. Jamming Sessions of the campus at the evening are quite popular.

    I gave JEE Mains and couldn't make it into any IIT/NIT then I gave WBJEE and got this college. Campus is very beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Canteen, gym, and library everything is too good. Overall, it's a good college. There are many clubs and societies which will help you in your personal growth.     I have been admitted in this college in 2023 in CSE department. My WBJEE rank 4450. With this rank I choose this college because of it's being an oldest institution with great alumni network. I will definitely refer this college as your B.Tech companion as you will get to experience one of the best campus life. You will get to learn a lot of things here.... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
    I didn't get the IITs and NITs through JEE Mains Rank. So I decided to take admission through WBJEE Rank in West Bengal in which I secured 10544 Rank. Through Counselling I got Information Technology Branch in Haldia Institute of Technology. IT Branch in our college is excellent as it provides many extra opportunities for many students to exercise their tech skills. There are many Tech societies and NGOs in our college which makes our college superior.... Read Full Review

    I got admission into the ECE branch in Haldia Institute of Technology through the WBJEE rank of around 24,000. Currently I'm in the first year so the overall experience is good. I recommend this college after IEM, Heritage, and Techno main. Haldia is one of the best private colleges in West Bengal because of their infrastructure and average placement.... Read Full Review

    My experience at the institute was very good. Overall, it is a very good platform for pursuing studies and extra activities like project making, car designing, and other sports activities are also conducted. All types of activities are held in the institute; you can play cricket, football, basketball, badminton and all others indoor and outdoor games in the institute and you will get gym facility as well....
