Jadavpur University: Tier 1 University in India.

Overall Rating
Our University is a tier 1 University in India. Placements in department like Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, Construction, etc are 100% and overall placement is 97%. I choose this Institute because it has least fees in the entire country.
 

Academics Rating
For getting admission into this University, you should have PCM in Class 12th with 50% aggregate marks. It is basically the cheapest University in India which completes B.Tech in just 10k (Total fees for 4 years). From my childhood I wanted to be an engineer. I have also given JEE Advanced but I didn’t qualify, which is why I chose Jadavpur University.
 

Faculty Rating
Professors are just insane, many of them have done their higher studies from abroad and most of them are listed in top 2% scientist in the world according to Stanford University. Many of them have also received fellowships from Foreign Universities.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell. It has placement for Science and Arts background students where the placement percent is 85%. The average package is 6.8 LPA and for engineering the average package is 10LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is very good here with lots of buildings and amenities centre. It is equipped with lab facilities. The lab assistant and teaching staff is also well qualified. It has a building named TEQIP where campus placements and admission of students takes place. Majority of departments has its own building except a few.
 

Campus Rating
It is probably the best campus in East India after IIT KGP. There are various fests and programs organised. There are also multiple clubs like Mechatronics, Aerospace, Infrastructure, Science, etc.

    It has been less than a year that I joined this university. Till now, my experience is one of mixed feelings. The placement stats of Information Technology (my branch), very less fees compared to 99.9% of engineering colleges in India, language (Bengali), and good academic culture and to be honest familiarity with the city of Kolkata were the main reasons that compelled me to join this university out of the options that I had at that time.   • Jadavpur University: Ideal University to get Best Placement
     

    Overall Rating
    Our university is a tier 1 state public university with NIRF 2024 rank 12th in Engineering Category. Placement is very good (up to 100%) in some departments like Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Overall placement was 95% last year.     The overall experience of the university is superb. I'll describe each aspect in the later section but here let me give an outline of my experience. Jadavpur University offers the best ROI in India, the fees is just 2400 and getting an average placement of 10 LPA (20 LPA for CSE). There's no 75% attendance policy, 45-50% is enough.     Overall Rating
    JU is one of the premier Universities in India. It has the lowest 4 years of B.E fees i.e. 10k/-. It has a great alumni network, no compulsory attendance policy, a beautiful campus life, and a decent gender ratio, which is better than IIT’s. On the other hand, it has some drawbacks too that involves average infrastructure, corruption in Ph.D admission, and antinational active organizations that often degrade the image of the University....     In my initial days, I had some language issues but by the passing time, I overcame this issue due to my seniors. The best part of Mechanical Engineering is senior-junior interaction, which helps us in personality development and many other problems.
