Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (Delhi University) located in Pithampur has a clean, green and a spacious campus with beautiful flora and fauna. It has a huge campus divided into hostel, academics and playground area. The college has a positive environment. Amenities like canteen, CCD, library and gym available in the college make it the best. Each and every festival is celebrated with full enthusiasm and brings out the creative and fun side of all the students except from just mere academics. The beauty of this college and its placement opportunities stand apart from the other DU colleges. The societies of this college have made it perfect for overall development of a student. Being engaged in societies’ activities enhances the personality and networking of an individual.

The college provides us with an option to choose from a variety of courses. BMS, BBE, B.Com Hons., B.Com, Punjabi Hons. etc. are some of the popular courses offered by this college. Not only this, it also offers various PGDM courses as well. I opted for B.Com Hons. The college offers various value-added courses, skill enhancement courses and general elective subjects like Digital Marketing, Finance, Spreadsheet, Economics and many more. For students opting B.Com Hons, he / she should keep his Accounts or Maths strong.

The faculty at this college is great. The professors are intelligent and modern. The faculty pays attention towards clearing the students’ doubts and the concepts are explained extremely well. Use of presentations and live projects is practiced by the teachers. The faculties who are given the responsibility of society heads are extremely understanding and fill the communication gap between students and society’s wants and college’s rules.

The Internship and Placement Cell is very keen on bringing regular internship opportunities for the students. A variety of companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, etc. offers placements to the students at our college. The Placement Cell also conducts a number of sessions for the students to make them aware of the current trends and gain knowledge about interviews and requirements that these big firms demand. Every student is offered placements with maximum placements being offered to BMS and B.Com Hons. Course. The cell also helps the students in creating LinkedIn accounts and building resumes for being selected by top firms.

Yes, we have residential facilities for outstation girls. The hostel is inside the campus only. The hostel is well maintained with good amenities like spacious rooms with proper ventilation and canteen. For outstation boys, the Students’ Union helps them to get PG or flat according to their preferences.

The college has a beautiful campus with good quality infrastructure. The college has a massive auditorium where all important events take place. The classrooms are spacious with both blackboard and smart board. The college has a 3-floor library stocked with books, magazines, etc. The most beautiful part about the college is that it has a Gurudwara where I often go to relax my mind. It has a huge ground, basketball and volleyball court. Seminar hall and amphitheater for meetings and sessions are also available. Overall, the college is well maintained.

One of the reasons behind choosing this college was its campus life. The crowd here is so much better than the rest of DU colleges. The Students’ Union organises various events like Bollywood Day, No Bag Day, Teacher’s Day, Diwali Celebration, and of course the Annual Fest. Famous singers are invited for the fests which are the best days of the year.
