The main highlight of the college is its campus. I talked to alumni of this college who have been placed with good package and they suggested me to take admission in the college. Hence, I will also suggest this college to the others, especially to the students of Bihar, Bengal and Jharkhand.

I enrolled in Information Technology department. I appeared in WBJEE completive exam and then took part in WBJEE counseling. I got 31326 rank and BC Roy Engineering College in counseling. Students can take direct admission in the college through management quota as college has 15% quota for direct admission. Mostly these students get branches like Mechanical and Civil. If they want to choose CSE or IT branch, then he/she has to pay ransomed amount of 2 to 6 lakh.

Faculties are well qualified and have some research work experience. Most of the teachers are local resident of West Bengal. Some teachers really teach really well.

Our campus has an active placement cell and placement building is also named AJC Bose Bhawan. Students who don’t have any active backlog are allowed to sit for campus placements. The highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 2 LPA.

Yes, college provides hostel facilities. The food quality is good, tasty and hygienic. The registration for hostel took place during the fee payment of even semester. There are two hostels: Chhitranjan for first year student and Satyen Hall of residence for second, third and fourth year student. Both hostels have a common mess. Yearly fee is Rs. 80000 which include both lodging and fooding. There is option for single, double and quadruple sharing rooms in these hostels.

Each branch has separate academic block are separated. The main building hosts the academics of software branches like CSE and IT. The campus has good lab facilities. Labs are equipped with AC. The classes are non-AC. Some of the things like scarcity of instruments and equipments can be improved. There are three entry gates to the building. The campus of the college has good sports facility with regular maintenance. It has separate grounds for all the sports. It has gym, medical emergency room and recreational point for practicing martial arts like karate. It has canteen in the campus which is only operational during the college time. I have joined the karate and will advice to my juniors to join it as student of first year are not allowed to play in ground but karate gives them opportunity to play in the ground

Overall, the campus life is good. The seniors train their juniors and are very serious about the sports competitions organized by different institutes and governments. Karate has the maximum gold in Prakaram sports organized by IIT Dhanbad which is the biggest sports fest in Eastern Asia.
