No doubt University of Lucknow is a prestigious institution with utmost historical significance of more than 100 years. The best thing about this place is its amazing, well experienced and supportive faculty who always encourages you and guides you. Educational facilities here are also quite beneficial. A well-equipped cyber library, a reading hall with numerous magazines and books by different authors, and access to civil services hall give students great environment and opportunities to study. The quality of education at this price makes it even better for all the students coming from different social backgrounds. Students can easily manage both coaching for different competitive exam as well as the academics fees at the same time. This college provides you ample amount of time to focus on your skill sets and other examinations apart from the academics. NCC and NSS clubs are also there, if you wish to enhance your social and physical attributes.

Students are notified about the admission process in the month of April through the official website of Lucknow University. Admissions form is to be filled by the students only before the given date. It includes personal details, educational qualifications, and course preferences. After successful submission of the application form and the application fee of around 700 for General Category, candidates can download their admit cards from the website. Candidates must appear for the entrance exam (conducted in July mostly) on the scheduled date and time at the designated exam centers along with their admit cards. The exam format is objective with no negative marking and is based on 11th-12th syllabus. University announces the results with the merit list on its website usually till the end of July. This process is completed till August along with counseling and document verification. Reservation policies for EWS are available. Eligibility criteria are similar to other UG courses. The candidates who want to pursue UG course need have minimum 55% in 12th standard and for PG, UG degree in the respective field is required. I am pursuing B.Sc Mathematics from this university for of my interest in Math and want to work in education sector as a teacher or professor.

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and experienced here. They are easily approachable and supportive. Students can approach professor’s office anytime to clear their doubts. The teaching method of all the teachers is different and each student has his/her own opinion regarding this matter. So it depends upon the students. The fact is that teachers want to be cooperative if the students want to do well. They are ready to give opportunities in terms of knowledge but it is purely on the students if they are brave enough to grab it or not. My experience with my professors has been amazing and I had numerous interactions with them about the study related topics, career advice and some sort of general life topics. Most of them have graduated from the top most IIT colleges in India so they share ample of knowledge and their life experiences. In fact, when I got injured during my Chemistry practical examinations, the professors and the staff members were so supportive and kind that they gave me immediate medical aid and called the doctor.

Placement rates depend upon the course but students in professional courses like MBA, MCA, and B.Tech usually have a higher placement rate as compared to traditional courses. Students from general graduation courses usually opt for higher education. Many students from non-technical fields also secure off-campus opportunities or clear competitive exams for public sector jobs.

Both the main and second campuses of University of Lucknow have residential facilities for students. The hostels are well-maintained, providing a comfortable living space with essential amenities. However the food quality is satisfying and somewhat hygienic.

The University of Lucknow was established in 1921 and it has achieved glory of more than 100 years. The campus building gives historical monuments vibes as the academic blocks and the department seem very old. The infrastructure needs modernization with the latest use of technology. However, some faculty/department does offer smart classrooms and other facilities but few classrooms require basics maintenance and renovation.

The college itself doesn't organize large number of events, Only seminars are organized for the day scholars. For hostellers, activities such as Holi fest, Navratri nights and cultural competitions are organized. The Surabhi Sanskriti event is the famous fest that happened last year. Recently, a literature fest was organized along with DJ night that created a hope for many more beautiful events to be organized for the students. Sports activities like Cricket, Basketball, Racing events are organized annually during pre-convocation events. There is a club namely Adamya for students who are interested in plays, dramas and theatre.
