My Perspective of BHU, Varanasi

Overall Rating
I've joined this university in 2022, because of the reputation of highness BHU. It has good overall facilities regarding education, mental health, physical activities & all. The university is apparent & campus life is excellent. There are lots of café & student point where students can enjoy campus life as well as academic. It has IIT-BHU & BHU University together with separate campus within same premises.
 

Academics Rating
I've been in University of Environmental Science & Sustainable Development from 2022-2024 for my Masters degree in M.Sc in Environmental Science & Technology. It is the newest Faculty/Department of BHU. Academic wise, it has good syllabus as per the need of current scenario regarding Environment around the globe. We studied wide range from Paleo Climatology to Environmental Economy. It offers more compatibility with today's world.
 

Faculty Rating
It has number of faculties of every syllabus with relevant teaching experience. There are more than 20+ faculties for this department. All have been involved enthusiastically with students for exchange of knowledge through different ideas, as this subject consist of numerous different other streams knowledge like Zoology, Chemistry, Botany, etc. They are supportive and friendly as well.
 

Placement Rating
It has placement cell but placements for my department were not up to the mark.
 

Hostel Rating
BHU has several hostels for boys & girls. I've been living in Aravalli Hostel which is largest hostel in BHU and it can accommodate 600+ students. Every hostel has its own park, ground & central hall for the students. Mess is good (above par, not to expect the lavish food but decent). Hostel life is excellent overall.
 

Infrastructure Rating
BHU has excellent infrastructure. Some of the major features of the infrastructure include central library (which is among the top 3 biggest library of India), 4 stadiums, 1 major big world class stadium to organize sports & games (university, national, international level). Apart from central library every department has separate library.
 

Campus Rating
BHU is known for its top-notch campus life. The campus has its own Vishwanath Temple built by Birla Temple. It also has different student points like Lanka, Hyderabad Gate, etc. Night Life has been the thing that students nowadays look forward to & it is tremendous here, although BHU University has timings regarding hostel but campus of IIT BHU has no timing for hostel.

    As we all are aware that Banaras Hindu University is globally recognized university and one the prestigious university in India. The most important thing in making it so is the Academics part. As a student of Commerce department in BHU, I can tell you about my department only. Though it's not the best but I can confidently say that our faculty can easily make into top 10 institutes for Commerce students in India, especially for the B.com (Hons.).     The great legacy of the university known as Banaras Hindu University. It is one of the best University in Asia and the largest residential too. My college was Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and I chose it due to the fact that it had an excellent reputation and it had one of the most important things called a PG quota which helps a lot in future PG exams as well....     BHU ranks 5th in India's top central university while Institute of Agricultural Sciences ranks 4th in top agriculture and allied sector. Agriculture has much scope and BHU gives the opportunity to explore this field. Government jobs, corporate jobs, banking, research and many opportunities are offered to the students of at BHU.
