Overall Rating
First of all, this college is ranked #1 by NIRF among all the colleges in India. This is a very reputed college for Arts and Sciences started over 125 years ago. The faculty is said to be very proficient, knowledgeable and helpful. The environment is also pretty competent considering the fact that toppers across the country come here to pursue a course. There are also plenty of societies making the college atmosphere vibrant. It enhances the extracurricular skills of the students.
 

Academics Rating
The entry into all of the courses and colleges in DU is done by writing an entrance exam called CUET. The cut offs are different for different courses and colleges. In Hindu College, for English Hons., 770+ is needed for general category and a bit less for OBC and even less for SC/ST. The English faculty is well known of this college.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of English and Hindu is very reputed across the University. They have a well-versed set of professors with an aim to bring up the students in the cast ocean of literature. They have a very student interactive type of teaching making the students more attentive and curious in learning. It makes the students very creative.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell in the college. Your Placement depends on the course. For English Hons., there is very minimal placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are residential facilities. The fees are approximately 16k per semester. The infrastructure and all the facilities are really good. There is a girls' hostel but the boys' hostel is under construction.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are a lot of blocks across the college campus. The latest built one was the science block called sanganeria block. It was built just this passed year. Even though the initial blocks are pretty old considering the fact that it was built over 125 years ago, the newly built ones are pretty modern and well equipped. There is also a really good library equipped with a vast variety of books.
 

Campus Rating
There are a lot of societies in campus making it very vibrant for students. Also, those who wish to pursue a co curricular skill / activity may alternatively choose to do so. There is also an annual fest in the college called Mecca. It typically lasts for around 2-3 days. It is considered to be the biggest festival in DU.

    The infrastructure is pretty decent. The faculty is genuinely interactive and societies are vibrant. I chose this institute because I belong to humanities background and this college has been considered No.1 college in my stream.     My overall experience at Hindu College, University of Delhi was way better than I had expected. I am currently pursuing Economics Hons. I really like the atmosphere, the energy, and the people of the College.     Hindu College and its 125 years legacy make it one of oldest Colleges of India. This college provides a vibrant diversity and culture for students who want exposure and opportunities to enhance their overall development while competing with top students of India.
