My College Life in IGDTUW, New Delhi

Overall Rating
Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women is a dream university of many students. The highest package of placement drive 2024 was 1 CPA. I'm enrolled in MBA course. I can say that although it is recently added course (2020), the curriculum is of top quality.
 

Academics Rating
In first year of course, we have to study all the subjects related to general management. Students get to choose their specializations from second year. To get admission in this department, you need to have good score either in CAT or in MAT. Although, CAT score is preferred first. Students that have scored above 60 percentile have chances to take part in the counseling and appear in the interview.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at IGDTUW (MBA) is great as they belong to diverse fields. Our entire faculty is filled with high respected people. Our HOD is the pillar of our department. The ways she keeps us updated with the business world, organizations, events and pre-placement talks is appreciable. The university also invites amazing guest faculties who are bankers and entrepreneurs adding on to our experiences.
 

Placement Rating
The highest placement that has been offered during placement drive is around 22 LPA (to MBA student) and average package is around 9 LPA. We have an amazing team of placement which is working hard to get the best companies on board. Undoubtedly, you will have ample of opportunities as many companies come to the campus for recruitment. If you have skills, you can definitely get a job.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are mostly allotted to the students that belong to different states. The rooms are pretty good. These rooms are available in 2, 3, 4 and 6 people sharing. AC rooms are allotted to first year students only. Washrooms are also clean and outfitted with all the necessary tools (for e.g., Geysers). Some of the facilities of the hostel include Wi-Fi, Meals (3 times a day), fridge, sports, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The classrooms in my department have all the amenities to study properly such as projectors, smart boards and AC. We have a Nescafe and a canteen in the campus. There are multiple grounds to engage in sports activities. The AI department which is recently renovated is really beautiful.
 

Campus Rating
We have departmental societies in the campus where students are taught skills that will prove beneficial in their future. Many events are conducted in the college. Some of these events are Jhilmil, dandiya nights and an annual fest ‘Tarangaana’, Hackathons and drives are conducted on weekly basis.

    I have spent more than a year IGDTUW and here is my review of my experience in the university so far. This university comes under government of NCT of Delhi, located in the center of Delhi near Kashmere Gate. It is women's university and offers various courses like B.Tech, BBA, MBA, MCA and M.Tech.     This university is well- known for its placements and good academic life. I've been in this university for a year now and so far it is very encouraging academically. Sometimes the academic pressure gets stressful but that happens in every university at some point. The campus is a bit small (it is also shared) but it is active and always bustling....     The overall experience at the institute is quite good and satisfactory. Placement was definitely one of the main reasons why I chose this college. If you want to go with a Delhi based college then definitely you can choose this. Choosing computer science related branch is more beneficial as placement ratio is always high there....
