Honest review on Ananda Chandra College

Overall Rating
I completed by graduation from Ananda Chandra College, Jalpaiguri. The one thing I can say for sure is if you want a college which has good academics, sports, entertainment, top-notch infrastructure and great teachers, then this college can be good choice.
 

Academics Rating
I completed B.Sc (Hons) in Economics. Although the number of students is very low in this course as there were only 14 students in my batch. My Higher Secondary Exam wasn't that good, which is why, I got only 65% marks, still it wasn't much of a hassle when I applied for this course in this college and I immediately got it. This course is good for the students who want to build a strong career in the field of commerce such as business, banking, etc. I went for this course specifically because I wanted to prepare for banking exams.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers teach well. They are very friendly and teach us in a very understandable language. Asking questions is a very interesting and good approach made by the teachers for the students as it allows us remembers the chapter more keenly. Overall their teaching style is very understandable.
 

Placement Rating
No placements are provided by the college.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is residential facility in my college. I can't provide much detail about it though as I wasn't a residential student of the hostel. However, my friends were there and were quite well. Hostel life's great and really fun. You can make many friends and can explore many places with them while making sure to follow the time restrictions. The infrastructure is also good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is quite old since it was established in1942. However, the surroundings of the college are clean. There are trees that compliment the overall environment of the college. There is a big ground in front of the college where the students can chill, play and share a fun time together. There is a seminar hall too.
 

Campus Rating
The colleges overall campus life is a good. The crowd is normal, except for the days of the examinations. There are clubs too and fests are just excellent because of their aura and vibe. Some of other events such sports activities, fresher’s, farewell and festival celebration is done from time to time.
